I will. Carl2 I see in your post the dealer also did a wheel alignment. I am wondering if an alignment needs to be checked after the repair? The TSB doesn't specifically mention alignment just refers to the WSMSection 204-01 Front Suspension > Removal and Installation.

The dealer confirmed the steering noise this morning. I had brought a copy of the TSB with me. The Forman read the TSB and was good with following the TSB so bringing my BS back next week so the dealer can order the parts. Thank you again Dude! I usually try and look for TSB's when I have a problem to see if there is one that fits the problem but missed it this time. Also thank you for this forum. It continues to be a wealth of information. Especially to keep in mind issues others have had so I can keep an eye out for them.

Good question, i wonder if the service person removed suspension parts that later required the alignment. I will try to find out.

Glad to hear things went well. Read repair report from my dealer and it states during the test drive after the replacement parts a noticeable pull to the right so that explains the alignment.

Got the TSB done. Creaking is gone. I paid $65 for an alignment check and everything was within specs so I feel money well spent to verify alignment was not needed.

Some of the vehicles may exhibit a clicking, creaking, clunking, rattle, rotational noise from the front strut area when turning the steering wheel. This may be due to interference between the front jounce bumper and the strut rod.

• Is it when you're actively turning the steering wheel, or continuous while the wheels are turned?
• Is it at all speeds, or only in a certain speed band? Does it do it while stopped (but turning the wheels side to side)?
• Where does it sound like it's coming from (left/right/front/back)?
• Your description of the sound is a bit difficult to interpret. Can you be a bit more specific? Maybe an audio sample?

Since you said it only occurs during turns, I'm thinking it's either front suspension/steering gear, or related to the power steering (pump/pulley/belt). The latter is more likely, but right now that's only a wild guess based on your description. If you're not getting satisfaction from the dealer for this issue I'd suggest taking it to a local shop for another opinion.

This vehicle has electric power steering.

Mine did a a noise three times turning, the first time turning right with under 500 miles and it was very loud coming from the right rear. The other two time again from the right rear when turning at a steep angle, the last time it was more subtle at a 12 degree incline

TSB 25-2437 fixed my issue.

Our 23 was making a creaking sound going over bumps and slow turns. Turned out to be a bad sway bar (bushing?) covered by our extended warranty at 37,000 miles.
