I got the letter yesterday too. It’s for the fuel injectors but Ford doesn’t have any replacement parts yet. They said they will send out another letter when the parts are available.

Regarding the cracked fuel injectors on the 1.5L engine. Fire hazard! Ford has known the problem but the letter continues that there is no fix yet. We will be notified. Pretty simple fix -- how about replacing the fuel injectors!!!

I wonder if it is though.. if it was just the injectors we would have been clear of that by now as they would have changed injectors as soon as they found out about it and it wouldn't be a 3 model year thing but rather a 3 or 4 month. I am thinking it might be the design of the injector pockets or something more involved than just the injectors which would be a redesign of the head and a replacement

It's surprising that this is still going on.

The first time, Ford installed a hose to drain any raw fuel leaking from an injector onto the ground. See? All better now!

But seriously, that seemed to be the end of it.

Here is a fix:

Yeah, I was pretty ticked to get that letter. They originally stated that they had addressed this issue for the MY 2023+. Now we get the same letter that the 21-22 got two years ago. Maybe it's a different issue, but cracked injector sounds the same. I would assume that 2024s will get something in a few months.

Issue could be over torquing them on the Line or just badly built Injectors . Makes me wonder what manufacturer made them . One would think they would be off the shelf Injectors, no ? There are six in the Dragon motor .

Ya , we got a drain line with a sensor that was programed , not sure what Module it was linked to & no idea if it set a code to let you know if a Injector was leaking .

I got the safety recall letter yesterday and Mine is a 24 MY BB. So it looks like MY 24 is included as well...so first a free software upgrade THEN a parts replacement? Two dealer trips. Thats convenient....(not)

Yeah, I read the letter as saying the car might catch on fire and the parts to fix it aren't in yet.

But stay positive: Maybe the leaking coolant from the water pump will fireproof everything under the hood.

I dropped off my '22 BS/OB today to have RDU replaced ( at 20K !!). I got a glimpse of dealer internal paperwork attached to my W/O. It is a sheet for the tech showing the particulars of my BS, and what recalls are pending and done...Top of the list....." replace fuel injectors " when parts avail.
If Ford is preparing to replace every injector in all 600K+ recalled vehicles .. the bottom line is going to take a hit.

I have the letter too.

I also have Morgan and Morgan on speed dial should my Bronco catch fire.

I don't drive mine anymore the wife does. I just told her to let me know if you start smelling gas.
I gave it a good look over and everything seems ok. Now where did I put that spare fire extinguisher?
