I got this message on my phone.
2025 Bronco Sport equipped with Ford Pass has entered deep sleep mode to conserve battery.

Stop, lock, unlock etc temporarily unavailble because your battery charge level is low.

You can easily fix this yourself by going for a longer ride. (seriously?)keep AC and accessories off to recharge your battery faster.

If your vehicle doesnt start, Jump start it then take it for a drive to recharge battery.

I know Im old and senile so could someone explain this? Its brand new! I dont understand!

How long was it sitting without driving? This was common in earlier models that didn’t have AGM batteries.

@Css206 Do you have any accessories plugged in to any of the power ports or USB ports?

The default timeout of the power ports is 30 or 45 minutes. I have a dash cam plugged into mine, so I changed the timeout to 5 minutes using Forscan. I don't recall the PID, but I think it's in the BCM.

In summary, the vehicle senses the battery has a low state of charge and has put unnecessary systems to sleep to preserve the battery.

As mentioned, this was a problem for some of the previous years of the Sport. Ford came up with a software update and also found certain batteries had a potential defect that could cause the battery to fail, Ford is replacing those batteries with an AGM battery free of charge if during inpection a suspect battery is discovered.

I would have thought with the 2025 Sports the battery issues would have been resolved.

Even though it's inconvenient, I would take your Sport in or make a home service appointment and get Ford to make it right, it is a new vehicle and under warranty.

I had my 2021 Badlands battery replaced under warranty early on before the software updates and the current battery replacement program.
After replacement I have not had any battery or electrical issues since.

All newer vehicles have so much crap running all the time Use a battery maintainer it will add years to your battery life

2025 owners (that is, most on this forum and other groups that have posted) stated their vehicle came with a Motorcraft AGM Battery but a few so far had an EFB (battery) installed by the factory

AGM Batteries are not immune from the symptoms OP is experiencing:

more than likely OP is not driving the vehicle often enough and for long enough at 30mph or higher to keep the battery healthy and apparently is not using a battery maintainer

And we don’t know details about the charging system and BCM/PCM algorithms for the 2025s. No way to know yet if better or worse than ā€˜21-ā€˜24s.

Ill look at the battery. As far as keeping the battery healthy, will just running it in the driveway work? Youre right, we dont drive it very often.

You need to drive at speed for long enough and often enough

often this is suggested…

drive at least twice a week for over 20 miles at 30mph or more (not stop and go traffic) and apples even if you have an AGM Battery

Or use a trickle charger

some prefer to use a solar panel trickle charger which works in certain areas of the country

My wife doesn't drive her BS much and with the EFB battery I would get that message almost every week at some point. With the AGM I've never had it with the same driving habits.

A trickle charger sounds to be the best option for member Css206.

Since he does not drive it that often, no need to waste time and fuel to drive it around at 20-30 MPH for 20 miles when a trickle charger connected to the battery will do the same while its parked at his residence.

Yep for some a battery maintainer even the solar cell trickle charger works best

and I have the AGM Battery and occasionally see the same messages OP is seeing … not a big deal … I’m up to date on the known BCM/PCM (ā€˜21-ā€˜24) Programming so I’ll just do longer drives if needed

not surprising that some 2025s exhibit similar charging system messaging (with the AGM Battery)

Both the Motorcraft EFB (Battery) and the Motorcraft AGM Battery have the same 120 minute Reserve Capacity but typical AGM Batteries have less internal resistance so don’t waste as much capacity while sitting around

Remember … not every ā€˜21-ā€˜24 owner experienced the charging system messages so I’d expect only some 2025 owners would, OP is not the 1st 2025 owner to report in on this

The whiz kid designers at Ford wanted to add a whole bunch of "cool" but unnecessary electronic gadgets, but didn't understand that they needed to upgrade the battery and charging system to support that.
