FWIW, the ‘25’s are equipped with the AGM battery, or at least Job 2 builds are. Just checked mine to verify.

Don’t know why Ford went so old school initially, I had AGM on my ‘91 Miata. We’ve known for decades it’s better all around.

A few 2025 owners so far have reported their vehicle came with an EFB (battery)

To answer your question, it does appear that Ford installed EFB (battery) whenever the factory didn’t have AGM Battery on hand

I’d be interested to see a battery breakdown by trim levels and packages ordered for the ‘25’s. Build dates would be something else to compare. Given how long I had to wait on mine, I’m wondering if that may have been a constraint in my case. But, I appear to be an outlier at 203 days, so I doubt it was just waiting on the battery.

Making sure I had an AGM battery was one of the first things I checked when I picked up my 2025 Badlands in January. Read too many horror stories on this forum about dying batteries...

For sure your delay was not waiting on a battery
