OZZY’s boneyard is sufficient .. you wouldn’t need Traffic ? ?I pay for XM to be able to listen to OZZY’s boneyard what’s this about traffic?
Actually, I don't think we ever utilized the trial. We had an existing Sirius XM with my wife's Ford Flex. I transferred it to the Bronco as soon as we bought it, so I don't think we ever even utilized the trial.@DSB Snag
Your initial message said “The traffic has never worked. Even though we are paying for it” (and paying for the SiriusXM Subscription)
What I think happened is back in 2022 or whenever your vehicle was delivered to you, Sirius Traffic worked during the 1st 3 months which is the SiriusXM Trial Period (3 months)
I bet you didn't have Nav in the Flex and the transfer is how they borked it. They only recourse is to call Sirius. I forget which, but when I did have the trial period there was one of those features that always said "unsubscribed" for who knows why. No amount of resets or updates fixed it until I called and had them do something on the backend. I can imagine why you don't want to call them- it's one of the worst experiences but it's also the only way to solve it. I think your account is way past the possible point for it, but like Dude said, if you have an active music subscription, you shouldn't have to pay the extra for the traffic sub for up to 5 years. That's already $100 extra they got so I would demand some kind of credit.Actually, I don't think we ever utilized the trial. We had an existing Sirius XM with my wife's Ford Flex. Once the Sirius software/database person gets connected with an owner having the issue with a valid Traffic subscription showing Unsubscribed it’s a 30 second task for them to update their database. That person can also do things like stop charging for Traffic and change the date into the future (for about 3 years in OPs case!) for when Traffic will be charged monthly. I don’t know they can issue a refund or credit but anything’s possible.I bet you didn't have Nav in the Flex and the transfer is how they borked it. They only recourse is to call Sirius. You are getting transferred to the wrong tech support - see my DMsI have called them. Multiple and multiple times. Their only solution so far was to just remove the Traffic/Travel completely and stop charging us; but, my wife does like the feature of looking up fuel prices and some of the other perks of the Traffic/Travel bundle. The traffic is the only thing that's never worked.
I called them again after Dude mentioned what he did -- and supposedly got transferred to tech support; but, again all they wanted to do was send a refresh signal and walk me through another master reset of the radio.
