So under the Apps -> SiriusXM Travel Link which options show subscribed? Mine take a minute to populate all the services.

That’s it thanks for posting @Jmuns

@DSB Snag did you wait long enough to populate?

Yes. It does initially say most are unsubscribed. Last time I escalated this with Sirius they had me to a system reset. Didn't correct the issue and my wife lost all her navigation favorites and history. She was pissed.

So crazy that they can't figure this out for you. It's like they need to do a master reset on their end for your account. Or transfer the service to another radio ID and then back to yours. It's nothing you're doing as the BS can use the feature and you have Sync updated to the current version. This is their problem it seems.

@DSB Snag you have done everything you can do,

Verified you are at Sync 3.4.23188
You had the Sirius refresh signal sent (multiple times)
You did the Sync Reset (Simultaneously press and hold the seek up (seek forward) and the audio unit power buttons…)
You did the Master Reset (aka System
Reset) which ticked off your wife

Your screenshot shows you have the Ford Nav (Sirius Traffic works with Ford Nav)

You checked the Apps Subscription info which shows everything is Subscribed except Traffic which shows Unsubscribed

You are paying for both the SiriusXM subscription and the Traffic subscription

There is nothing else you can do - the issue with Traffic not working is with Sirius not your vehicle

Your initial message said “The traffic has never worked. Even though we are paying for it” (and paying for the SiriusXM Subscription)

What I think happened is back in 2022 or whenever your vehicle was delivered to you, Sirius Traffic worked during the 1st 3 months which is the SiriusXM Trial Period (3 months)

However if you are 100% positive you or your wife never enabled the SiriusXM Trial including SiriusXM Trial was not enabled by the dealership or someone else for your vehicle, then my theory is not correct. But it might be hard to remember exactly 3+ years ago.

My theory on the free trial relates to what is described in the attached pic - Ford provided 5 year access to SiriusXM Traffic as part of obtaining the vehicle with Ford Nav.

Then when the free trial to SiriusXM ended, so did the Traffic subscription which is why you still have access to other Sirius services - only Traffic service shows Unsubscribed

It’s a simple matter for a Sirius software engineer or Sirius database person to modify your account to enable Sirius Traffic

If you want to send me a (private) message through the Forum and provide me with your first name and phone number, I can give you a call and walk you through the steps and in fact you also should request that Sirius credit your account for the time you’ve owned the vehicle and paid for Sirius Traffic because Ford provides SiriusXM Traffic for free for 5 years

I pay for XM to be able to listen to OZZY’s boneyard what’s this about traffic?
OZZY’s boneyard is sufficient .. you wouldn’t need Traffic ? ?

Sirius Traffic is a service from SiriusXM which for some model years was provided free for 5 years when the Ford Nav was purchased

You can google Sirius Traffic Plus for a description of the service - it’s linked into Ford Nav which provides Ford Nav with real time traffic updates

here’s a synopsis ..,
SiriusXM Traffic Plus with Ford Navigation provides real-time traffic information integrated into your vehicle's navigation system. It helps drivers avoid congestion, accidents, and construction delays by displaying color-coded traffic speed information and alerts on the navigation screen. This service is typically available through a trial subscription with new Ford vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 navigation systems

Actually, I don't think we ever utilized the trial. We had an existing Sirius XM with my wife's Ford Flex. I transferred it to the Bronco as soon as we bought it, so I don't think we ever even utilized the trial.

I bet you didn't have Nav in the Flex and the transfer is how they borked it. They only recourse is to call Sirius. I forget which, but when I did have the trial period there was one of those features that always said "unsubscribed" for who knows why. No amount of resets or updates fixed it until I called and had them do something on the backend. I can imagine why you don't want to call them- it's one of the worst experiences but it's also the only way to solve it. I think your account is way past the possible point for it, but like Dude said, if you have an active music subscription, you shouldn't have to pay the extra for the traffic sub for up to 5 years. That's already $100 extra they got so I would demand some kind of credit.

Yes I thought that might be the case

A dealership salesperson has been known to enable siriusXM in a vehicle but we don’t know that happened either

also you earlier stated you upgraded to Sync 3.4.23188

the Ford Navigation version should not impact Sirius Traffic subscribed or unsubscribed

I’m on NA 2 23 and NA 2 24 is currently the latest Ford Nav but you may be on an even earlier Nav. When I purchased my 2022 it came with documentation from
Ford showing 5 years Nav updates for free but Ford changed that and now is 1 year for some and 3 years free for others

you already found out that to get the current Ford Nav is the $40 cost because you are out of the 3 year free upgrades

as I stated, the Ford Nav version does not appear to impact SiriusXM subscription

the fault is on the Sirius side not yours

Once the Sirius software/database person gets connected with an owner having the issue with a valid Traffic subscription showing Unsubscribed it’s a 30 second task for them to update their database. That person can also do things like stop charging for Traffic and change the date into the future (for about 3 years in OPs case!) for when Traffic will be charged monthly. I don’t know they can issue a refund or credit but anything’s possible.

I have called them. Multiple and multiple times. Their only solution so far was to just remove the Traffic/Travel completely and stop charging us; but, my wife does like the feature of looking up fuel prices and some of the other perks of the Traffic/Travel bundle. The traffic is the only thing that's never worked.

I called them again after Dude mentioned what he did -- and supposedly got transferred to tech support; but, again all they wanted to do was send a refresh signal and walk me through another master reset of the radio.

You are getting transferred to the wrong tech support - see my DMs
