I built a fire extinguisher mount.(front passenger seat footwell)

So I have a fire extinguisher in my bronco sport.The jeeps I hang with on weekends usually have oil leaks, and exhaust manifolds, it seemed prudent (For the forests we drive through, lol).

The extinguisher basically bounces around, rattles, and usually isn’t exactly where it is supposed to be. So I looked and couldn’t find a mounting system that I liked.

So I built one. ( actually trained welders, please pretend you can’t see mine)

Basically looks like this. , I can put the seat all the way forward ( incase you wanna put a
car seat up front and NBA player in back??) and actually get it out .
Here is a still and a 3 second video of me pulling it out. Replacing is maybe 5 seconds (but who holsters a fire extinguisher quickly?)
No rattles and hopefully I never need to use it.

my buddy has a Maverick and he is taking my prototype home from office tomorrow to see if this is a viable option for him. Both being the same platform it is a potentially awesome for him.

@Ford if you wanna buy rights as a dealer installed option direct message me. Install takes about 15 min, a t55, socket wrench, a flathead, and a Phillips . I’ll sell cheap.

I wonder what happens when the vehicles internal temperature exceeds 150°F in the summers here (don’t have to worry about the -4° extreme). It’s great that it’s explosion proof now I see why mounting facing the rear hatch is better than under the drivers seat.

Perfect for the occasional injector leak (in the spirit of jest but not a laughing matter if a leak happens to someone!) .. that’s a pic from their ad but I don’t think is a good pic since putting out 3 of the 4 depicted fires are all too far gone.

I'm skeptical an extinguisher can be rated for all those purposes at the same time. According to the marketing material at eBay, these extinguishers are water-based. Everything I can find online says water-based extinguishers should not be used on flammable liquid fires or electrical fires. Does anyone have any literature from the manufacturer with more information about the extinguishing agent used for these?

I do not, but the photos provided definitely show a liquid fire suppressant so now that you have mentioned it i am concerned, Colonel Angus should have more info since he owns one

They are water based.
