  1. Post recall software update blues

I wish I could get rid of it. I'm a college student now and can't afford to buy another car right now. I was making a hell of a lot more money then when I bought it. I'm done with school next May, so I just need it to last until then.
  2. Post recall software update blues

Sadly the auto start stop working means my car is working fine. ? I don't mind it here in PA. When I bought the car after a few months it stopped working. Then after owning it for 2 years, the battery died. Then I put a new different brand AGM in and everything was working just fine. Until the...
  3. Post recall software update blues

The message wasn't coming up until I did the recall. Literally the same day. I ran tests on my alternator to make sure that it's actually charging and it is. I didn't go through the dealership to get a new battery due to the fact that the motorcraft batteries were junk and didn't want to pay...
  4. Post recall software update blues

My Bronco sport was runing pretty good before I did the update (recall 24s24). Didn't really have any weird issues besides bad gas mileage. After I did the update every time I'm idling I get charge system service soon. My gas mileage dipped to about 16 MPG. Before that I was averaging around 20...
  5. Having some serious buyers remorse... Probably my last Ford...

I have had 4 Hyundais and never had any serious issues. I had to replace the trans in my current Elantra due to someone draining the tranny instead of oil pan. Honestly most of what I do on that car is maintenance. Suspension and what not.

If you don't want to go brand new go to car-part.com and it'll search salvage yards for the parts you need. Most will ship! Got a tranny for my 2017 elantra for $300 with 18k miles on it. Works fantastic. The salvage yard near me is my favorite place now.

Realized you have the 2.0. Still about $500 bones.
  8. Having some serious buyers remorse... Probably my last Ford...

It's pretty much the same when it comes to alternators and belts. Rock Auto has a motorcraft alternator for less than $500, brand new. I can get the workshop manual for you to service it yourself if you're interested.
  9. Having some serious buyers remorse... Probably my last Ford...

Did you purchase used? Do you have any mechanical knowledge? Replace the alternator yourself! Or take it somewhere else since it's not covered under warranty. I am a Ford student, if you're in the Pittsburgh area, I can help put it in.

Same crappy experience. I should be able to trust my brand new car. I'm going to switch to another dealer to do my warranty work, and see if my experience gets any better.
  11. Having some serious buyers remorse... Probably my last Ford...

I think it definitely has to do with it being a first year model. I'm in the Ford asset program for my associates in master technician training. It's not just the Bronco sports having the problems. There's many vehicles having issues and concern. It seems like quality has gone down in the last...
  12. Having some serious buyers remorse... Probably my last Ford...

I can't forget to mention the windshield! Cracked on my way to New Orleans from Pittsburgh. On the way there there was a crack on the driver side to the middle of the windshield, and then a spidering chip on the passenger side!
  13. Having some serious buyers remorse... Probably my last Ford...

This is my first Ford and will likely be my last. I never had more issues with a vehicle than with this one, and can't stand the dealer I go to anymore. I bought my BS OBX September 2021, and was so excited to have this vehicle, I was in love. I traded in my 2020 Hyundai Kona SEL plus. First...
  14. Not very happy with Ford at the moment.

I've had a few Hyundai's, an honestly they have the best customer service. Anytime I've ever had an issue they jumped on it no problem. If I ever had any concerns even if I wasn't there for that concern they made sure that it was checked and taken care of if it was in warranty. I've owned three...
