My favorite is when they release the letter saying parts are available and your dealership will schedule you in. we in fact do NOT have the parts in stock, COVID has made a mess of parts as well as everything else. Ford has set up these dealerships to piss every customer off when these letters are sent out & then I'm left to explain 100+ times a day what actually is going on. They put people in absolute panic mode for a complete lack of explanation. It really is just a CYA scenario for ford with everyone being as sue happy these days, but they need to take a day and type some more information in these advanced notice papers they send out.

I've been just telling people in addition to what I said in the previous comment that "of course if you have any issues in the meantime or notice anything funny please bring it to my attention and we will get it checked out" because at the end of the day these are brand new cars and if something is wrong you have the 3yr/36k mileage.

I expect to see a recall similar to the recalls out there now for ford f150's with the brake master cylinder replacement, or with the older fusions with the brake test we are doing.

My '16 F150 has master cylinder replacement recall per letter in mail along with door latch freezing recall, seat belt rivet recall, something can catch on fire after accident recall ect ect ect some long long long recall list that I haven't gotten around to having dealer fix yet. But truck problem free otherwise.

I do not see any vacuum lines connected to it and it does not look like a vacuum assist booster to me? Mine has 360 Assist+ option.
Very interesting. The most detailed writeup I've read on this recall says the problem surfaces after Ford stopped installing a sensor on the vacuum line powering the brake booster. That sensor told the computer if the line lost vacuum, which would mean the brake booster was inop. The system would then incorporate assistance from ABS module to keep stopping distance within NHTSA standards. The recall--at least according to the particular writeup I'm referring to--only applies to vehicles without the sensor, because they cannot sense a loss of vacuum. Since the system can't know the brake booster is inop it cannot enlist the ABS module to aid in stopping the vehicle, thus they require more distance than the standard.

Out of curiosity, have you checked your VIN to see if your car is subject to the recall?

I too have the copilot 360+ and that's what my brake booster looks like. I do not have any recall on my 2021 Big Bend Oct build date. Nothing on fordpass or nhsta site. I mentioned on a different post I was wandering since the copilot 360+ has electronic braking if it was a different set up but in typical fashion I got shot down quick by people on here that I was wrong ? But it seems to stand that I was correct as I don't have a valid recall and looks to be an electronic brake booster as listed before.

Put vin in NHTSA web site no recalls. Nothing on Ford Pass either.

Some here need to relax a bit , as said if it was something dangerous , they would put a stop to the vehicles use.

Anyone have a photo of the difference , if there are two different Brake systems installed ?

Ok, good data point. So, it seems if your car has Copilot 360+ and the electric brake booster it's not part of the recall. My car doesn't have Copilot 360+, has a vacuum-powered brake booster, but isn't part of the recall either. So, even if your car doesn't have Copilot 360+ it may not be part of the recall. My guess is my car has the vacuum sensor Ford decided not to install in some cars.

I feel very confident now that everyone can rest easy regarding any danger of driving their car even if it is part of the recall. I'm certain this recall doesn't have anything to do with brake function as long as the system is functioning normally, and no one is going to drive their car with a failed brake booster!

See post #29 earlier in this thread for my brake booster which looks like electric power brake booster.

When you get a chance can you post up pic of vacuum brake booster?

But it also says all Bronco Sports are 4x4 and we know only certain trim levels have 4x4 locking.
