Looks great! What's the make and model of this rack system?
It’s actually my own design. I’m an engineer in manufacturing and decided to make it.

You can use it with or without the accessory brackets shown

Everything is able to be reproduced if anyone is interested.

Very nicely done, what's the weight?

Sweet! How'd you go about mounting to the factory rails?
I designed and made steel brackets. The pic is during prototype, after Powdercoat I use rubber tape for the contact points to the roof rails so they don’t scratch.

the brackets have an angle piece so they are touching the roof rails on 3 sides and are very strong

Is there a way to delete the factory rack and mount directly to the channels underneath it?

I’m sure there is, but we did this recently on a buddy’s Escape only to find the oem rails were held on by 3 very small screws. The oem rails are going to fit best to the car and won’t scratch it and be rain proof, displace load well, and help raise the rack to clear the sun roof - which the BS sun roof sticks out the roof a lot and will cause clearance with a lower profile rack.

it just made the most sense. Also easier removal and install of the rack

my rack DOES clear the sun roof!

Seems to be overkill
Can only carry 30lb of stuff after the rack is installed.

Ford Bronco Sport New Custom Overland Roof Rack for the BS 06C2E3E2-ECA1-475D-9022-F80B0D25F4B2

dynamic load of 150lbs, minus the rack that’s 80-90lbs of weight you can store while driving. 520-530lbs static load after the rack install, Seemed worth it to me
