Rear drive unit and a water pump on our 23. Repair cost would be outrageous out of warranty. Not sure we are keeping this one. If we get another it will be with the 2.0. 2 Mavericks with the 2.0 and no issues. I don’t believe Ford has the water pump on the 1.5 fixed. Still waiting for the fuel injector issue resolution. My 2.3 in the full size Bronco has not had an issue.

I'm with those who lost faith. At 48 months, 25K miles, water pump, battery, RDU, brake moan, shuddering transmission...all fixed under warranty, but not looking forward to paying when warranty expires.
Local dealer just reduced price of 3 X new 2026 OB by 15%. Now going for same price as discounted 2025's that are still around. What's that all about?
Friends who have CRV's , RAV4's and Subaru's have zero problems.

Many fewer issues with the 2.0L. Still need a discounted online extended Ford ESP warranty.

I understand the sentiment - I'm at 73,300 miles and I've had a water pump fail, two windshields replaced, PCM module replaced, my rear camera washer fluid nozzle failed which drained all my washer fluid out the back of the car, my AC drain box got filled with mud somehow (techs couldn't figure out how) and was causing water to spray into the interior of the car, and the turbocharger failed and had to be replaced. I suspect my fuel pump may be going out now.

I knew with a new model and a COVID-vintage vehicle I could get lucky or I could have problems so I was glad I bought the extended warranty. I do wish I'd just spent the money and got the Badlands model but hindsight is 20-20, as they say.

I still enjoy the car (even with my suspicions about the fuel pump I'm going on a 1,500 mile road trip at the end of the week since I can't get into the dealer until April), but I do treat it with a bit of suspicion at this point.

Toyota? Awesome. Although for the competition My buddy has had nonstop issues with his Honda Passport and I don't think my fingers can type as much as I need to for a Subaru rant. They are great til they are not...

My 2022 Badlands celebrated it’s 4th anniversary. No issues what so ever unless you count the extra loud back up horn when damp out. Ford did come out to the house once after I finally got sick of them bugging me to replace a perfectly good battery. I found out later it was a huge money maker for the dealerships. I had no less than three calling me to have their mobile service do this.

In all fairness, I did buy the extended warrenty when I purchased it from Granger. My expectations with all the electronic Nannie’s wasn’t great.

You haven't been watching all of the conspiracy videos on YouTube saying that all car companies build their cars to fail 5 minutes after the warranty expires.
I've had 33 new cars since I was 18 across almost all brands and had very few issues - 1969 muscle car burned out engine main bearings (my fault driving redline for 20 miles, repaired under warranty). Early '80s Camaro Z28 engine stalling (early use of computers on engines and they couldn't figure out how to fix - Chevy lemoned it and gave me a new vehicle). 2020 VW Tiguan two EVAP purge valves replaced under warranty, a common problem these days. Just normal maintenance. That's it. I do always trade in before warranty expires except 3 used cars I kept for fun plus my Bentayga.

Anyone else lose faith in the bronco sport? Over a 2 month span I've had the 4wd module go bad, the turbo took a shit and then a week later the cat conv. This was my goto car. Now I worry about my kid taking it out for fun. I turn down 4wd trips. Completely don't trust this car anymore. Anyone else had it this bad? Just waiting for the next multi grand breakdown.
I TOTALLY hear you. I had mine 3 years and with all the recalls and the fact that there were so many problems with the original 3 banger that I just did NOT trust the car anymore. My one daughter lives 5 hours away and I just would not go there with the BS. Traded it in on a 26 Subaru Forester in December. Loving it so far and it even has a back seat that people over 8 years old can actually sit in. As far as a daily drive It's one and done with Ford.

I agree with you on the 3 banger but a Forester is a different class vehicle than a BS.

4 Water pumps, 1 a/c condenser, multiple recalls in less than 2 years for me. I never had to pay anything out of pocket, but I didn’t like what I saw looking into the future. Traded it in with 23,000 miles on it.

I loved the car but lost trust for long term reliability. Even minor repair costs have gotten way out of hand.
Smart move. Traded in mine with only 19,000 miles on it for the 26 Forester. Where I bought my 22 BSBB they still have 28 2025 BS for sale. Just don't think they're selling well.

Checking the prices on new BS they are almost the same as my 26 Subaru Forester and I've gotten WAY more bang for my buck with all the standard features on the Premier edition including a sun roof. Not to mention that I DID NOT have to pay $500 extra for my Crimson Red colour.

I just can't trust CVT's no matter how much better they get

It's not about cost. The BS is a sport suv and the Forester is a family SUV. Different class vehicles.
