When I turn on my rear view camera to check on my cargo hauler there is a black box that says, "Full view not available." Is there a way to turn this off so I can get a full view?
Thanks!

AFAIK, no. I find it somewhat annoying, as well. I find it more annoying that the view would be more "full" without the "full view not available" banner appearing on the screen.

You can't make some of this stuff up.

Javier, I am guessing FORScan is software? Where do I get it and how do I use it?

Thanks

It is. You would need a windows based laptop and a $30 cable from Amazon linked below. The software is free for a 2 month license, or $20 for a year. You can get it at www.forscan.org. The cable is:

https://www.amazon.com/Vgate-vLinker-Diagnostic-FORS-can-Scanner/dp/B0C3B11S7F/ref=pd_sbs_d_sccl_1_2/000-0000000-8675309?pd_rd_w=l6uHp&content-id=amzn1.sym.aa738fbd-ad05-4d11-aae2-04b598db6305&pf_rd_p=aa738fbd-ad05-4d11-aae2-04b598db6305&pf_rd_r=A72FGMDXPGFGQW672FC2&pd_rd_wg=GhrVN&pd_rd_r=ae8de797-073f-493f-98fb-5f93fb7de7f7&pd_rd_i=B0C3B11S7F&psc=1

FORScan tutorial is here. You can also look up some tutorials on YouTube if you learn better that way. Do not let it overwhelm you. It is very easy to use.

All that needs to be done is change this one bit to enable RCOD (rear camera on demand) w/o the blackbox. Why Ford thought it would be a good idea to have that message in the middle of the screen is beyond me.

Now just need FORScan to turn license plate lights off when in reverse... the glare on the cam is a poor design

I’ll agree to this 100%.
The only thing I can find in the BCM that you can try is this. If you don't get the desired result, just change it back. This is from the BCM of a 2025 Maverick. The BCM in my F150 is very different. This is what your BS shows there:

Ford Bronco Sport Full view not available (rear view camera) 1772754586321-su

This means PWLLC is disabled. F it.....enable it to see what happens. Change the 9 to a D, reboot the BCM and see what happens. If you don't get the desired result, change it back.

In my F150, it also shows "disabled" but the tag lights are on when I reverse. I can try changing it to enabled on my truck to see if the behavior changes and report back if you're not in the mood to FAFO. 🤣

I tried it on my F150. Tag lights still came on in reverse. I noticed no differences in behavior. I changed it back to a 0.

It would make so much more sense is Ford had put that on the left or right where you choose the camera, or where the 360 view is.

Thanks so much for that info Javier!
So lines 0, 2, 4, and 6 are disabled. Do I need to enable all 4?

Will they remove that banner on Forscan at the dealership? I don't want to have to buy a Windows laptop and the software just to get rid of that stupid banner.

Thanks,
