I tried perusing the forums for this issue and forgive me if this has been covered. I am. At 63k miles ( of course right outside the warranty window)and this evening on the way home from work I got a million messages from the bronco. Essentially everything except for front wheel drive turned off. 4wd turned off, no hill start assist, no climb assist, no front collision assist, no goat modes, no hold park assist.
The Bronco is shifting normally, no transmission noise. No fluid loss. Odd thing was when I looked down the 4wd lock button was lit, but obviously wasn't engaged ( I still turned it off). I had to do a quick stop on the way and noticed no warning lights on restart. I put it in eco as I always do when I commute and about 2minutes into the drive home the warnings all came back on and the Bronco went into normal mode and goat became unavailable again. I am going to disconnect the battery at work tomorrow and see if it will reset itself. This honestly feels like a computer issue since multiple systems seem affected. Like the auto hold, how is that related to the rdu or transmission? Or the collision avoidance? I'm grasping at straws here because I am very house poor since my homeowners insurance got canceled and the state is robbing me( thanks governor). Please someone have good news to share about this.

And yes I have the orange wrench of death. Funny thing is the last error msg says "consult owners manual"

Our BSBL with 24k did the same thing on Friday, pulling into a parking spot. Warning flash: Shift System Issue, engage parking brake before exiting. Vehicle not in park. Engage parking brake. This went on for two days anytime the BS was slowing down.
We have a service appointment tomorrow. Even though it “cured” itself by Sunday.

‘21 Sport — still on original battery? On AGM battery, but a couple years old? May be time for a new battery. Just guessing.

My 2021 Badlands had the 4WD fault along with the with various other errors. In my case the 4WD module was bad and not communicating with the rest of the systems. Dealer replaced the module, it is not covered by the powertrain warranty as its considered an electrical part.

have seen online that Ford customer care had stepped in a few times on this issue. The is my 4th Ford. Been driving then for over 25 years so maybe loyalty will mean something

I had a similar problem on my 2022 BS Big Bend. It was one of the BCMs and replaced by Ford.
On my 2024 BL Badlands, it was a malfunctioning shifter wheel which was also replaced under warranty. On the 2024, it would lie and say the hill assist wasn't working when it was. Also it would say I needed to shift to park when sitting at a stoplight. New tech weirder than no tech. All in my unhumble opinion.

It's concerning when I ask Chat about this and it replies with this is common and even gives projected milage range for this failure

In the end Ford did a good will gesture as my Badlands is always dealer serviced and was out of the 3/36 warranty by 4 months but not by mileage. The service writer went to bat for me and it worked out, otherwise the original estimate was a tick over $800 dollars.

Got your message. Looks like the 4WD/AWD module took a crap.

Ford Bronco Sport 4wd error 1765298089406-5

The fault type of 01 means general curcuit/internal failure and the fault type of 71 says the actuator is stuck. I try to refrain from providing remote diagnosis for things, but in this case, it seems pretty obvious that it's a bad module. Maybe can be fixed by reprogramming it, but chances are, it will need to be replaced.
