OVERLAYS OR DECALS

I bought a 2025 white Badlands and have a question for those who have done this.

I want some contrast between the white BL and the white letters on the rear hatch. I'm keeping the grille letters white.

What was your preference, overlays or decals and why?

Obviously, the decals are cheaper, but I'm concerned with the durability.

What product did you go with and are you satisfied with it?

I have decals from Etsy. Had them since April of this year , and have gone through the car wash several times. No problem, plus with decals you can change any time you want.

I didn't like the overlays because it doesn't look like some of the letters are fully cut out - like the B doesn't have the 2 voids. Seems like it would just look like a square block.

Ordered the vinyl letters. I looked on Etsy at a couple of the overlays and decided not to take a chance on them for the cost. Especially since I wanted black and on a black BS I didn't think some of the letters would be recognizable.

I went with overlays, just because to me it seemed easier and faster, took all of 5 min. I do understand what Mike is referring to, the voids are there, they are just a little smaller. The letters are a little bigger so things get squished together but still happy with getting rid of white letters. Been on since spring with no issues.

These are the same overlays that I referred to in post #5. Same brand, Tuf Skinz but through Ford accessories. Once I get my 22,000 Ford pass points these may on the agenda.

I had the overlays for years. Wanted to get rid of the white outline. I used plastidip on them months ago and like it much better.

I went with the overlays and ended up getting them from Auto Nation because Ford accessories would not ship to me. They said that in Arizona, you have to go through a dealership. Auto Nation gave me the same items from TuffSkinz.

I shared this pic yesterday of the look. I wanted red to contrast with the black. I also wanted to have black lettering on the rear to contrast with the red - but I accidentally ended up with two fronts and no back. So when I start to get a paycheck again, I will be getting the back lettering.

Did you ask them if you could just get the SPORT overlay? Did you check and see if the front ones fit the back letters?

The front letters are larger than the back. We tried to just put the overlays on the back and so how much larger the overlays are.

I haven't contacted the vendor as these were received back in July. I had them sitting with other items for when my son was available to put them on. So I will end up buying the rear one.
