One of the little details I appreciate living in AZ. I get a daily morning visit by a covey of Gambel's Quail:
LOL We get them as well usually in the Spring & Fall when "weekenders" put their trash out days before pickup.More often just run-of-the-mill birds, but occasionally these guys:

Yup, and restaurants in town failing to lock their garbage away and even the occasional nutter who actively feeds them. We had a grizzly eating a neighbour's tulips last year which focused everyone's attention. Fortunately she decided to head back up the mountain with her cubs after a hearty vegetarian feast rather than moving on to the meat course.LOL We get them as well usually in the Spring & Fall when "weekenders" put their trash out days before pickup.
Of course it’s Walmart. We get much more colorful fauna in my neck -of-the-woods . . . They’re protected by law

They are prolific little things. Maybe as bad as rabbits. I never minded them until they became destructive to the house and vehicles. Then I started trapping them and began to teach them how to swim in a 5 gallon bucket. I’m not a very successful swimming instructor! Unfortunately, they are better reproducers than I am a poor swimming instructor. We get daily visits from the bushy-tailed yard pigeons...aka squirrels. They are a cute nuisance until they gnaw through the rafter vents/screens and start hanging out in your house.
Holy crap!More often just run-of-the-mill birds, but occasionally these guys:
