Radio screen anomaly.

Yesterday my wife & I went out to a farmers' market to get some fresh corn on the cob. When we were going to leave our house, my wife plugged in her phone to get the map from her phone to show on the center screen & it was just a blank screen, but her phone showed the written directions. When we went to leave the market when she put the gears selector in reverse the backup camera showed up but in black & white not color. Then the map started showing on the screen also in black & white instead of in color. When we got home my wife started to back into the carport the backup camera now showed in color. This is the first time this has happened, any ideas?

To find your Sync 3.4 Build Version (do not scan for updates):

Select SETTINGS tab, then
Select GENERAL tab, then
Select ABOUT SYNC tab

It will show the Build Version (latest is 23188 Product).

This is a known issue with SYNC 3.4 Build 22251

Please let us know what Build of SYNC 3.4 you currently have installed.

Yes, we still have a 2021. I will check as soon as I get a chance & report back. Thanks for the reply's.

OK, we checked & it says the Sync 3.4 version is build #-20282. I also wrote down the Sync serial number & a list of updates off that "about Sync" screen if that matters. What is installed is what came with the truck, we have never done any updates to it. This is the first time we had any problem with it in 57K + miles.

You are way out of date with your SYNC 3.4

This should solve your issue. I assume you do not have factory navigation.

I don[t know, I haven't even looked. I'll take it into Ford one of these days, I only have 3800 miles on it since new on 6/3/2024.

I'm from Mendocino County CA I flew over this place 20 some years ago and saw snow on the ground and said that's where I want to retire. So, we moved here ten years ago. Next week is supposed to be hotter.
