Welcome from another retiree n00b. I picked up my BS Big Bend on Wednesday and love it.

My only question is how to you not get up early anymore? I'm awake by 4:30 every day and cannot sleep in. I thought that was the whole point of retirement.

I guess I should do a formal introduction, even though I've been poking around here for a few hours.

I'm a retired software engineer with a wife, some kids, a ton (17) grandkids and a dog. Now I have a Bronco Sport. Happy to be here and hope to learn a lot from this place.

I have to make sure I don't take a nap and stay up until midnight. That keeps me in bed until 6:30-7.

I think he meant am, not pm!

I used to get up every morning at 4:30 as well. Now, my wife gets up at 5:30 ish and I stay in bed until 6 when she exits the bathroom. It took a few months to adjust but it’s nice getting an extra hour of sleep.

No, I knew it he meant am. I’m usually up by 0330, sometimes as early as 0200. Too many decades of working through the 24-hour cycle, too many time zones, too many 0500 flights, and too many nights of two to four hours sleep.
