Is anybody else experiencing this? My network connectivity is great on every other website but frequently times out on this one. Wondering if it's a server issue. All my equipment and software are current. This happens on all my devices, phone, iPad, laptop and desktop.

Yup, and on partner sites such as macanevowners.com (going for the "most diverse garage" prize). Often need to connect twice or hit refresh. At the weekend there were also database connection errors, so I suspect they need to provision a few more web and database servers.

Yeah, it’s a provider-side issue. This and several sister forums were down hard for a number of hours yesterday. I also notice periodic lags/loading issues on mobile.

I don’t know what db this is sitting on or the resources allocated, but that’s one area to look at.

Could also be the XenForo (the forum software) has particular needs that aren’t being met.

I don’t know if all these related forums are on individual dedicated VM’s or they’re trying to jam too many instances into one box.

In my experience , it’s usually answer D, “all of the above”.

I figured the first reply to my post would be- "its because your using all that Apple shit"
Remember, you’re using a Certified UNIX Platform. Not sure what Frankenmess Windows is anymore, it’s still got someone else’s DOS code from 1981 in there. Don’t even get me started on the registry. MS had their chance at a full rebuild with Longhorn and they blew it.

Those sites could have been hacked
Possible but not likely, the sites returned within a few hours with no apparent loss or corruption of data, nor any redirection or hijacking apparent. DDoS is more believable if we’re talking a malicious actor.

I’ll stick with either an insufficient resource allocation, or a bad db or VM update.

I rarely do and they haven’t lasted long. I fiqured it’s just maintenance or small updates.
