Hi everyone, I had navigation, phone settings, icons, etc until I added my husbands phone via FordPass. He mostly wanted the navigation.
After getting him all set up I've lost all that stuff. My Navigation is gone, phone desktop and icons etc.
Any ideas?

How about a photo of the screen?

In car Connected Navigation is not available on the Big Bend trim level. The only navigation you can have would be using CarPlay or Android Auto.

Are you using an iPhone or Android device?

Can you select your phone when you plug it into the USB port? Should ask which phone to connect, if not try pairing your phone via CarPlay on your phone while sitting in car.

I have Android Auto which used to work with my phone. it works fine with my husbands, he gets Nav and all the other goodies. I have phone sometimes, sirius but thats all.

I tried hooking up with a USB cable but says Pixel8 not found. I can take a photo of the screen but theres not much on it.

I just dont understand why evertything on my husbands works. Mine was fine until I hooked his up. Maybe I'll get a divorce:crackup:

Are you trying to use yours while your Husbands is also plugged in? The car will only use one at a time. Have you tried plugging just yours in and starting the car? Also could be a bad cable you are using for your phone. You won't get all the "goodies" as you call them without being plugged in with a cable, because those are coming from Android Auto. Your phone and some audio will work through Bluetooth connection, but that is independent of Android Auto giving you full access to your apps.

OP has a 2025 with Sync 4.. it’s wireless connectivity

OP needs to look up how to add multiple phones on Sync 4
I always forget to look to see if people have a MY25. @Css206 you need to go into the settings in your car and select the phone list. In there you should be able to set one as priority/favorite. If this is only happening when he is in the car with you it's because his is now the favorite. If it's even when he isn't in the car then you need to add your phone back in.

From the 2025 Owner's Manual (PDF, pg 400):

Ford Bronco Sport 2025 Big Bend I lost my navigation, desktop etc 1750005168441-ud

Typically the first phone added will be the default or primary, so when multiple connected phones are detected that one will be used for the connected functions. As @Jmuns noted you can change that setting as desired.

I started from scratch like it was before I bought it. Added my phone to FordPass, invited my husband. I now have my Nav and icons back. As far as I can tell, he only has lock, unlock, start etc.

Now I have to figure out how to get him to have Navigation and all the other stuff when he's in the car without losing all mine when I'm in the car.

I dont have an option in phone settings to choose primary phone. It has both of our phones listed with a phone icon, music note and android icon.

Like Dude said, I just want to know how to add multiple phones, both with all the bells and whistles without losing any bells or whistles on either. I'm not trying to use both simultaneously.

This FordPass is not user friendly.

As an edit...the owners manual seems to apply to every car but mine.

From that screen you can determine which phone is doing which activity. If you have the Android Auto button highlighted on yours that's what it's going to use. You can toggle between your phones this way as well when you are both in the car. Get in the car with just his within reach and see if Android Auto opens when you're not in there. He might have to go to that screen and hit the AA button. I don't have sync 4 but this video explains that screen when multiple phones are in use.

Around the 7:30 mark it shows this process. It's a good explanation.

So even though my husband accepted my invitation to use FordPass, I still have to "add" his phone via Bluetooth, then he'll have access to all the stuff like nav? But mine wont go away?

FordPass and the infotainment system in the BS are separate. The phone settings referred to in the manual are for the infotainment system.

FordPass is primarily for remote access stuff. In-car things are the responsibility of the infotainment system. There is some crossover, but they’re not mirrored.

Correct. But you may have to toggle between them depending on which one you want to be using Android Auto. This is through the Phone list that is shown in the video above.

FordPass has nothing to do with Android Auto. I believe you are confusing the two.

FordPass is an app on your device that is paired to the vehicle. You can check vehicle details and remotely start the vehicle.

Android Auto is an app on your device. When your device is connected to the vehicle using a cable or wirelessly via Bluetooth, your vehicle will run Android Auto on your center screen.

SYNC 4 and Android Auto cannot run on the same screen at the same time. You must toggle back and forth by tapping certain icons on the screen.

Well…I can run Android Auto on the left 2/3 of the screen and have the SYNC 4 “widgets” on the right 1/3 of the screen. My normal set up is to run Google Maps on Android Auto on the left, and can swipe through the fuel economy, trip info, phone info and audio source on the right. I use the SYNC 4 Sirius as my audio source and can see artist and song info in the widget area while navigating using Android Auto.

You've all been so helpful. You're right, I didn't know that android and fordpass werent the same. There are so many terms I've never heard of, Android Auto being one. I even had to look up toggle, MY25, and sync. I'm 80 yrs old and really not up on these things (obviously).

The Ford guy just ran through all this stuff like I knew what he was talking about about.
Anyways, I'm going to try to hook my husbands phone up today and I can let you know if it works!
As an edit....Thomas,I started reading that info from Ford and realized another incredibly confusing thing is when an article refers to the "device" , I never know if it means the car or my phone. Why can't they just say phone?
