The guy in the video is Steve Lehto. He is a lemon law attorney in Michigan. He can be repetitious but his videos are generally very good. The first one I watched was "Don't Buy an RV!" Classic.

In this one he says that while he believes the story is true he has not confirmed it:

Absurd if this is true. A vehicle fails some feature during a test drive and the dealer wants its repair paid by a potential buyer?

What's to say that the dealer knew of this issue with the vehicle, and used the test drive to blame it on the potential buyer?

As the video explains, it's not the test drivers vehicle until it is purchased.

That’s a Yo-Yo story… everyone involved is a Yo-Yo
yo-yo financing happened to my sister, lucky for her she got out of it

It’s important to read and understand everything a dealer gets you to sign in a transaction .. seems like common sense doesn’t it

I agree with you and what you state.

However, dealerships thrive off of those that are hypnotized on the "new car smell" and driving off with the new car. They will sign their first born without even knowing what they have signed.

If she had it just for the weekend, it was essentially a $0 rental. Insurance should cover this if there was actual liability. The dealership is probably harassing her because they're bullies. Insurance arbitrators would put them in their place. If she is the actual owner as they allege "you bought it", then fixing it is her option, or a warranty would cover it. There's just no world where someone has to pay the $1300 unless they maliciously broke it. I wonder what @CarEdge on youtube would say about this dealer. They have a lot of good dealer scam expose videos.

Isn't the AC a warranty issue?

Unless the dealer can prove that you intentionally damaged something that car is their property and they have insurance to cover issues that arise.

Laugh in there face. Call your attorney and sue them for mental stress
