Bronco Sport Lettering

I've had the BSBB about a month and just noticed this. I'm thinking the vehicle might have been damaged in shipping and was repaired by the dealer. I haven't seen a BS with the lettering off before.

Those letters are held on by some incredibly aggressive adhesive on some foam tape. Is there any visible damage to the letter that you can tell? I doubt that even the most disinterested employee at the dealership could place the letter that poorly. If you can easily pull it off, or start to pull it off, then it may have either had some contamination on the paint when it was applied in the factory or the same at the dealership (if it was damaged in some way and they replaced it).

That was my thoughts also. I'll probable talk to the dealer and see about get it fixed. Once I saw it I couldn't unsee it every time I look at the BS.

Easy fix, take some dental floss and work it behind the letter in a sawing motion. Once removed clean the area and reattach with new trim adhesive. You can find it in almost any auto parts store. Takes 10 minutes or so if you have everything ready when you start. You can try and salvage the existing adhesive and reposition but it won't be as strong and might fall off.

IMHO they just look cheesy,I removed them and opted for these

The bronco sure needs attention, I’d lose the sport. Cleans it up a bit in my opinion. I did add the sport package decal that comes on the F150

I removed the sport letters from my rig. I used a heat gun (you can use a hairdryer if you’re skittish) and a flat nylon trim tool. 91% alcohol works well for removing any remaining gunk. Don’t forget to wash and wax if you’re leaving them off as I did..

I ditched the "Sport" off my hatch and went with the F150 Sport decal. Something I thought Ford would have done from the get-go since they had them already

Old school! Paul VovStrause of Tonawanda NY has been striping hot rods for over 50 years. That job took him 20 minutes for$70. I gave him $100

"Ditching" the Sport lettering leaves "Bronco" off center on the hatch. Looks amateurish IMO.
