Recieved my recall notice in the mail today.
I've already had my battery replaced under warranty almost 2 years ago for the issues issues listed in the recall notice and I've also had the software update performed when I had my Badlands 4WD module replaced almost 6 months ago.

I wonder if they would give me another free battery.

If you have the AGM Battery now (or any other battery not covered by the recall) I really doubt anyone would get another free battery under recall 25S02 - I’m in that boat too, my OE EFB as replaced last summer under warranty with a
Motorcraft AGM Battery

It will depend on what type they replaced it with. Some have had them replaced with EFB and some with AGM. If it was replaced with a EFB, it would seem they will replace it with a new AGM type.

?? I have a 23 Badlands (less then 20,000 kms)made in Jan of 23; and am having the auto start/stop not working, and am presently getting the message "vehicle in battery saver mode" (second time in 2 weeks). When I was cleaning my driveway I let it run for 20 minutes with heat off and no audio, and now still get in battery saver mode. Not part of recall, but wondering if it should be.

Do you have an EFB or AGM battery? Maybe the SOC charge level is low. Running the car (idling) is not as efficient as driving the car to charge the battery. I suggest getting the battery tested for state of charge. My battery was starting normally but failed the battery test so other than the Auto Start/Stop not working for over a month I would have not known something was wrong. The battery is still under the 3 year warranty so should be replaced for free with an AGM battery by the dealer. More unlikely is that there is an issue with the Auto Start/Stop itself.

There could be other factors that cause the Auto Start Stop to not work but I had to go to a 2021 Owners manual to find them. Apparently on the 23 and 24 owners manual (didn't check 22) they removed the list and just say that a message pops up on the dashboard saying Auto Start/Stop not available.

From 2021 Owners manual.
Enabling Auto-Start-Stop
The system is enabled every time you start your vehicle if the following conditions are met:
  • You do not press the Auto-Start-Stop button.
  • Your vehicle exceeds an initial speed of 3 mph (5 km/h) after the vehicle initially starts.
  • Your vehicle is stopped.
  • Your foot is on the brake pedal.
  • The transmission is in drive (D).
  • The driver door is closed.
  • There is adequate brake vacuum.
  • The interior compartment has cooled or warmed to an acceptable level.
  • The front windshield defroster is off.
  • The steering wheel is not being turned.
  • The vehicle is not on a steep road slope.
  • The battery is within optimal operating conditions, such as battery state of charge and temperature in range.
  • The engine coolant is at operating temperature.
  • Your vehicle is not being driven at a high altitude.
  • The ambient temperature is moderate.

Only if your battery is one of the defective ones with Part number LX6T-10655-FA. The number is on top of the battery, easily visible.

There's no reference to any battery part number in my recall letter (or the NHTSA document). Cheers!

Chinese EFB (battery) supplier Camel
Part # LX6T-10655-FA (as RushMan stated: The number is on top of the battery, easily visible) listed in this article:

Ford Recalls 272,817 Maverick and Bronco Sport Vehicles for Battery Failure
23 Jan 2025, 18:43 UTC

Article also states: “A handful more allegations were from owners of vehicles produced with 12-volt batteries from Clarios, a subsidiary of Johnson Controls”

When my 2021 Badlands original FoMoCo lead acid battery become unreliable it was replaced under warranty.
The replacement was a Motorcraft AGM BAGM-48H6-760, I have not had any electrical issues since, that was almost 2 years ago.

It was in an advanced dealer notice of recalls, reported on Long McArthur's weekly YouTube stream 2 weeks ago.

info starting at approximately 1:08:50
When it was reported in this live stream I wrote down the Bad battery number and then checked the battery number in my car even though my car doesn' fall within the recall timeline of affected vehicles.

Part number on mine is LX6T-10655-A and I'm fairly certain that it is a Clarios since it is made in Mexico vice China. Cheers!

Not necessarily. cprcubed has LX6T-10655-A, not -FA.
If service techs just go by the exact product ID, then maybe not. If they do a load test and find a bad cell, then maybe.
