So it appears all the speculation is correct; some Bronco Sports shipped from the factory with defective batteries.
Hi Mark, This thread has become so long, so because of the risk that someone already posted the same question(and may be already answered) I know that you are the best source to answer my question: What is Ford's remedy, if any, to people like myself, that had to replace the battery on their own due to it's malfunctioning prior to the recall?

I purchased Perf 93, Perf 91 and Towing 91. If I had E85 in my area, I would have purchased Perf E85. I loaded the Perf 93, loved it so much, never bothered to try the rest.
Was your Tune from 5 Star? E85 Here in Northeast,Ohio it's pretty easy to find IIRC one station 10 minutes away has it and another station 20 minutes away has it.

Yes, I went to 5-Star after reading quite a lot of reviews. One would think that such a climate change activist as NY's Gov, the trailer park queen from Lackawanna, Horrible Hochul would have mandated every gas station in NY have E85. But no, prolly got wind of the performance aspect of it. Let's be honest, if she could mandate ECVs only in NY, she would have done that already.

Hi Judah,

Did your dealership replace your battery? If so, my recommendation would be to contact the dealership that replaced your battery first. If you didn't get a new battery at the dealership or if they can't answer your question, then contact Ford customer support. @Dude posted a detailed, comprehensive guide on steps to resolve these kinds of issues. Perhaps he might post a link to it.

Personally, I think Ford should compensate folks like you that replaced their batteries, but it you didn't resolve your issue through a Ford service center it may be an uphill battle.

I just got the notice today. It doesn't specify what the exact remedy will be (says parts are unavailable), but I would have to think a replacement battery is in the works. I'll gladly take that after 4 years!! Mine came with a LA battery from the factory. I have not had a glaring issue, but I habitually used a battery tender to keep the battery in top shape. If I do not use the tender, the charge level goes down and the first symptom is the ASS system quits engaging. I bet the replacement will be the AGM version.

Thanks Mark,
I replaced the battery with an EverStart Platinum AGM battery in June last year (and installed it on my own) because the original battery "died" at 24K miles and would not hold any charge. I will contact Ford customer service, as you suggested, to find out what is their resolution for such scenario.
