Here's a link to a set of Black Exhaust Tips that look exactly like the Chrome versions I installed. I couldn't find these earlier, so I bought the Chrome set.

Wife & I took the 2021 Outer Banks to visit our youngest son & our 2 grandsons in Indianapolis Metro area last weekend. We drove a total of 1098.1 miles up & back over the long weekend (up on THU; back on MON). When I checked the gas mileage after we got back home, the Bronco Sport needed 36.37 gallons for the total trip & averaged 30.2 MPG! I drove around 10% over the posted speed limit whenever & wherever possible. Based on that, I thought the Bronco Sport did OK overall.

I'm not saying you have a water pump issue, but your coolant is low. It should be somewhere about the red mark I added in. It looks like good old Ford Yellow in the pic, just don't intermix the wrong type. You can get it right at the Ford parts counter and should be under $20.

The Bronco Sport is parked on the slope of my driveway so it isn't sitting level. But I'll take a look tomorrow, if the weather cooperates. Thanks for the 'heads up'.

I did add a small amount of Anti-Freeze this morning when I checked the Bronco Sport. Again, thanks for the 'heads up'!

I took the time this morning to replace the battery in my 2021 Bronco Sport 1.5L. Didn't want to wait for Ford to recall my Bronco Sport (it is on the list) for the battery issue. Turns out the battery in my Bronco Sport was manufactured in China and is apparently a POS. Ford plans to recalibrate the BCM & PCM to detect a decrease in performance of the battery - this is BS! (Ford's Comment - The current software for the Body Control Module and Powertrain Control Module is unable to detect — and thus compensate for — the decreasing performance in the life of a 12-volt battery. This could result in the vehicle unable to restart while using the Auto Start-Stop Technology or stalling while coming to a stop at low speeds. This is accompanied by a loss of 12-volt accessories like lights, radio, air conditioning etc. ) The battery in my Bronco Sport doesn't even show a Motorcraft ID - It only shows FoMoCo! I wasn't waiting on this software change.

So I took steps to install a new EverStart MAXX H6 battery in the Bronco Sport this morning. The FoMoCo battery I removed had a rating of 700CCA. The EverStart MAXX has a rating of 750CCA. And it only cost me $139 & change.

But I will tell you that changing out the battery in the Bronco Sport is a task, in and by itself, of some effort! However, I did find a really good DIY YouTube video that showed every step to remove the car battery & install a new one. Here's the link: CLICK. The only exception I will suggest is to not attempt to completely remove the 10 mm flange nut that secures the battery hold-down clamp to the battery tray below. It is a sure fire drop out of site when loosened all the way. (Don't ask how I know this!) You only need to loosen it enough to rotate the hold-down clamp 90 degrees so it's out of the way when removing & installing the battery.

That Looks Nice Those Should be installed by Ford from the Factory.
While I was under the hood with the battery change this morning, I noticed that the engine cover looked like it had tilted towards the front of the motor. Sure enough, it had come loose from the rear mounting pin. I know that the 2.0 liter cover has 4 mounting pins, while the 1.5 liter has only 3 mounting pins (small ball pins similar to hatch cylinder mounts). Having only 1 along the backside of the cover is a design weakness. But I'm sure the aftermarket supplier is only using the mounting locations Ford originally provided for their plastic cover. I'll need to continue to monitor this.

Recall 24S24 BCM/PCM Programming (Data and Calibration modules) has been available since May 2024 so there is no waiting for that.

Why do you think Recall 24S24 is BS?

Most likely Recall 24S24 is necessary but we weren’t told exactly what the Recall does.

Recall 25S02 (for the replacement AGM Battery if applicable to your vehicle) is unrelated to Recall 24S24. You should get back the money you spent on your battery under Recall 25S02 if the OE Battery was the battery that is expected to be covered under 25S02.

I've already had the Recall 24S24 BCM/PCM Programming completed in my driveway by a Ford Tech. I read nowhere that Ford was going to just install a new battery. They plan to inspect the battery and decide if it needs to be changed. But I do know that Ford has stressed to owners of these recalled vehicles to avoid taking any long trips from home because of possible battery failures. And that condition doesn't fit my schedule. From my experience, the battery in my 2021 Bronco Sport was fast approaching 4 years old & will probably need to be changed within the coming year anyway. Would I have changed out the battery for our upcoming trip? Probably not. But with a known risk of a total battery failure , I just took it upon myself to install a new battery. before our trip. If I get reimbursed for my expense, that would 'make my day'!

If the OE Battery was the battery that is covered under Recall 25S02 it is likely that the out of pocket cost you had for your replacement battery will be reimbursed by Ford. Also likely will need to provide a receipt for the replacement battery as well as for any installation fee, towing and other costs expected to be covered under 25S02 but will need to wait to see what Ford will or will not cover.

Within the past week or so, the unlock button on the Hatch Door stopped connecting with my Key Fob. The Key Fob still unlocks the Rear Hatch Window just be approaching the Rear Hatch & pressing the Window Button to release the latch. But the button for unlocking the Door doesn't work unless I unlock the Bronco Sport first & then press the Door Button to release the hatch lock. Works that way with either one of the Key Fobs, so it appears to be a Door Button Issue not a Key Fob Issue. Anyone else seen this on their Bronco Sport?

Found my issue on another Thread in the Forum. Apparently, I've hit the liftgate unlock button on the Key Fob & disconnected the Passive Connect Function. I pressed the Liftgate Unlock Button on the Key Fob twice like it shows & the Passive Connect Function once again works!
