I did add a small amount of Anti-Freeze this morning when I checked the Bronco Sport. Again, thanks for the 'heads up'!I'm not saying you have a water pump issue, but your coolant is low. It should be somewhere about the red mark I added in. It looks like good old Ford Yellow in the pic, just don't intermix the wrong type. You can get it right at the Ford parts counter and should be under $20.

That Looks Nice Those Should be installed by Ford from the Factory.I installed this 1.5L Engine Cover over the holidays in DEC/2024.

While I was under the hood with the battery change this morning, I noticed that the engine cover looked like it had tilted towards the front of the motor. Sure enough, it had come loose from the rear mounting pin. I know that the 2.0 liter cover has 4 mounting pins, while the 1.5 liter has only 3 mounting pins (small ball pins similar to hatch cylinder mounts). Having only 1 along the backside of the cover is a design weakness. But I'm sure the aftermarket supplier is only using the mounting locations Ford originally provided for their plastic cover. I'll need to continue to monitor this. That Looks Nice Those Should be installed by Ford from the Factory.
Recall 24S24 BCM/PCM Programming (Data and Calibration modules) has been available since May 2024 so there is no waiting for that... Ford plans to recalibrate the BCM & PCM to detect a decrease in performance of the battery - this is BS! (Ford's Comment - The current software for the Body Control Module and Powertrain Control Module is unable to detect — and thus compensate for — the decreasing performance in the life of a 12-volt battery. This could result in the vehicle unable to restart while using the Auto Start-Stop Technology or stalling while coming to a stop at low speeds. This is accompanied by a loss of 12-volt accessories like lights, radio, air conditioning etc. ) … I wasn't waiting on this software change.
If the OE Battery was the battery that is covered under Recall 25S02 it is likely that the out of pocket cost you had for your replacement battery will be reimbursed by Ford. Also likely will need to provide a receipt for the replacement battery as well as for any installation fee, towing and other costs expected to be covered under 25S02 but will need to wait to see what Ford will or will not cover.I read nowhere that Ford was going to just install a new battery.
If I get reimbursed for my expense, that would 'make my day'!
Found my issue on another Thread in the Forum. Apparently, I've hit the liftgate unlock button on the Key Fob & disconnected the Passive Connect Function. I pressed the Liftgate Unlock Button on the Key Fob twice like it shows & the Passive Connect Function once again works!Within the past week or so, the unlock button on the Hatch Door stopped connecting with my Key Fob. The Key Fob still unlocks the Rear Hatch Window just be approaching the Rear Hatch & pressing the Window Button to release the latch. But the button for unlocking the Door doesn't work unless I unlock the Bronco Sport first & then press the Door Button to release the hatch lock. Works that way with either one of the Key Fobs, so it appears to be a Door Button Issue not a Key Fob Issue. Anyone else seen this on their Bronco Sport?
