All the best on yours! Curious to know if the new seat corrects it For you. My sales guy promised to make it right if a fix was possible, but in my case I think it was just me getting used to it & sitting properly in the seat as I don’t feel the lean now. I told him not to worry about it for now. Honestly though I don’t see enough on here to convince me that these are lemons, at least not at a rate any greater than any other vehicle. So I hope not too.
make sure you check out the headliner all around. They didn’t hesitate to tell me they would order a new one and replace. Agree to an extent about the seat. I’m feeling more comfortable with it, but if the service manager also thinks it’s off, I’ll agree with them.

They replaced my seat frame and I do think that it's an improvement as long as I adjust the chair appropriately. I have to go find the paperwork and I'll post what the specifics were. I don't think it's perfect (the seat cushion was also replaced for a third time and while this one is better than the last two it still feels a bit soft. My passenger seat is still feeling better). But it's something I think I can live with now.

So, it sounds like you're saying most asses like Bronco Sports.
Maybe it is evidence for those that don't find the seats comfortable that there is something wrong with their particular seat(s)? Or maybe it is evidence that most people have no idea what a comfortable seat is?

This topic seems to be one with many on either side.

I found my driver's seat softer on the left side. I think I found a comfortable position now so we will see.

Glad to hear that, as I think that’s true for me too. think for me it’s after 4,000K Im starting to compress the seat evenly. Much better today going home than on my trip out to the coast. Now i may have to redo my seat breaking in once they change the cushion lol, but still worth a try to make sure there isn’t anything wrong with mine.

I’d seen this article too, & as one who has issues with the seats I shouldn’t agree. & yet I can’t disagree. I suspect it probably has more to do with a few particular people who just don’t necessarily fit the seats as well as you’d hope.

Took the car to a vehicle upholstery place and asked if they could order a pad from FORD, apparently the pads are on backorder. The upholstery place noted that there was a gap between my seat and the setback and that my current pad felt more worn in than they would have expected for the age of the pad, so in the interim they refoamed the chair, good solution for now.

https://ford.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/ford-seat-cushion-pad-m1pz78632a23a would this be the correct item for replacing a seat pad? Seems like some minor ford dealerships sell these things, just not big ford? The other driver seat pad I run into is a 2K version (https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/body/seats/seat-cushion-pad-13291955-1?pdp=y) and I'm not sure why. Any suggestions on this are appreciated.

Edit: I was given this number for driver seat cushion: M1PZ-78632A23-B
It is the one on backorder, I forgot to ask what the reason for it is.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I know exactly what you mean about the steering wheel not being square to the seat. I feel like I'm pointed left, and also leaning left. My left bottom seat bolster is worn out, because that's how I'm forced to sit from the back bolsters. I've had it with Ford and all the trips there. Their response was always, that's just how it's designed. As if engineers would design a vehicle with a seat out of square to the wheel. Last time I finally got them the acknowledge it wasn't straight. They replaced the track and it's the same, if not worse. I love this vehicle, but I've had it with this seat everytime I get in and sit in the damn thing.

I've had it with Ford
Don't get a BMW...

The seats are wonderfully supportive, though the driver's seat is not centered behind the steering wheel. In fact, it's also not aimed straight ahead. With the driver seated inboard of the wheel, BMW angled the seat — and especially the seatback — toward the left-front corner of the car. It's a cheap trick, and one that only perfectionists would notice. BMW should still be catering to perfectionists.

Many older sports cars were deigned with off center seating and/or off center pedals — just the nature of “the beast”. The problem was ”solved” in some cars — bench seats <lol>.

I have the exact same issue in my BL. The passenger seat is turned in the opposite direction as well. These are the worst seats of any vehicle I've owned. I wish I could rotate the driver seat clockwise so that it's facing forward. I drive 3 hours per day and it hurts my back and hip. I have to keep my left foot flat on the floor so that I'm not pressed against the window.

Yes! Thank you! So I'm not the only one. So what, are just a few seats defective? Or is this actually how it's designed and we're just a select few who notice and are bothered by it? The longer time goes on, the more the left wears out and I feel like I'm falling more and more into the door.

You are not the only one. My dealer actually replaced the seat bottom cushion for me under warranty in case it was actually defective, but no change. I think few notice & fewer are bothered by it. But. Those that do notice & are bothered by it, judging by here & FB groups, it quickly becomes a deal breaker.
