We bought some relatively inexpensive roof rail cross bars and a basket with the intent to carry the spare up top. Looks great on the Badlands. Buuuut with the tire up there, it's about 2" too tall to get into the garage! ? The cross bars are not very low profile, so I'm looking for some other options for lower profile ones that will buy me a few inches (story of my life)

I'm not interested in spending hundreds. If I have to put the tire back inside, I will.

I've seen some much flatter lower ones but think they indicated they don't fit the off-road BS models.

There are some really low profile ones people have bought from Amazon pretty cheap. Why do you want to carry the spare up there?

Have lots to store inside the back and it all fits really well in the spare tire well. And it looks really cool.

I used a roof box on a trip, and my mileage suffered a lot. I bought an ATV cargo hitch rack from Harbor Freight and store things back there with no noticable difference in gas mileage. If I were you, I'd get a hitch rack for the spare, and then you'll fool people into thinking you have the Big Bronco.

Yeah we've got a rear carrier as well but want the roof set up.

I wouldn’t want to have to get the spare on and off the roof (old, lame, and lazy), but if you want check out the bars from Harbor Freight. I’ve got them on a ‘21 BSSL. They fit without problem and I think they were under $100 when I bought them.

...and wind noise increase, that is, if you like to drive with the windows open all the time as I do.
