Ford Bronco Sport recall Notice 24S24 WHAT A NIGHTMARE

My BRONCO had NO PROBLEMS UNTIL THE RECALL 24S24. I have a 2021 Bronco Outer Bank that was taken to the Ford dealership on July 15, 2024 for the NTSA recall 24V267, well guess what It is now August 18th and I have taken my Bronco back to Hennessy Ford and Lincoln of Atlanta 3 times because my truck was returned to me in freaking disarray. I can’t get anyone to answer WHY is my truck dragging and I’m hear the gears winding if as the engine is having a problem picking up speed. I don’t trust my beloved Bronco I don’t feel safe. I’m having to borrow my spouses car. The dealership is denying that there’s a problem with the recall. I’m so SICK of their Freaking lying. I can’t just go out and buy another car. If anyone has any answers pertaining to this issue please let me know because the dealership and the Ford cooperation is just passing the BULL FREAKING BUCK. IM Soooo angry.

@Cooperreid There’s a number of issues owners have reported with Recall 24S24 but not exactly the one as you described it… however your description maybe relates to the transmission and one of the steps in the 24S24 procedure is to reset the PCM which causes the transmission to enter its relearn cycle.

perhaps you could try having the service advisor and the Tech ride along with you next visit to the dealership so they could see exactly what you are describing?
But maybe you already tried that.

It could be coincidental to Recall 24S24 but a few owners reported transmission issues after they had 24S24 completed on their vehicle

I think I have always had a grinding problem when turning but on the road there is no problem. I don't think it is transmission but maybe just noisy ball joints.

Thank you. I'm taking my 2021 Bronco Sport to another dealership 8/20/2024 on Wednesday. I will never go back to Hennessey ford dealership, because of the disrespect. I'm gonna take your advice about the transmission reset. I will get back with the forum and let you all know. Thank you again.

Getting back with you all about about my 2021 Bronco Sport outer banks recall 24S24. I took my my truck this time to a different dealership, well I was called up and told that the dealerships highly honored mechanic took my Bronco out on the road 5 to ten miles on a drive and that he doesn’t see anything wrong, ok I’m boo, boo, the fool. Then they have the nerve to to tell me that maybe it’s the way I drive my truck. REALLY, REALLY that’s BS. The Ford Corperation is bulling us the dedicated customers to the point of hopefulness. I’m here to tell you all, Don’t give up because KARMA is real, they won’t get away with this. Let’s make our voices heard. Lets make this wonderful BRONCO FORUM and other forums a way of sharing a much needed information to help each other WIN.

would you get an opportunity to drive the vehicle with the service advisor and or mechanic so you can demonstrate the issue ?

Well did you try recording on video what it is you are hearing? Just a thought. It has worked for me in the past with intermittent issues.

Were you the guy that i told one of the Magazines didn't like the transmission in the Santa Fe when they tested it? It was you that really sucks i hope they put you in a rental for free and are taking care of your payments for a couple months?

Damn that sucks it proves Ford isn't the only company with problems. All companies have problems whether people want to admit it or not.

Well, there isn't a separate controller for the transmission on BS like a TCM, the transmission is also controlled by the PCM. The 24S24 requires to reflash both the PCM and BCM which deletes previous learned values, including adaptive values for transmission.

I think there's a service action for grinding noise when turning at low speeds. If I remember correctly, it is contamination on the rear differential oil. It might be worth to take your BS for a revision.

I think there's a service action for grinding noise when turning at low speeds. If I remember correctly, it is contamination on the rear differential oil. It might be worth to take your BS for a revision.

Thanks, my BS seems to be running better and better with age. Noiseless on the road. Great mileage. Handling seems a lot better. I will ask about it at my next servicing. Still under Factory extended warranty.

Hi I took my 21 Bronco Sport Outerbank to another dealership and it has been two weeks since I have had my Bronco back. My BS is driving like a gem.? What they did to fix the 24S24 recall I don't know. Well I do know that they gave me a invoice stating nothings wrong . she drives Freaking GREAT and that's all that matters. Don't give up the fight.
