I travel in rural Mexico and much of the time there is zero telephone reception. Can anyone point me to an article that would guide me to getting Sirius Satellite in my '22 BS BB? I would like to have it installed directly into the Bronco´s screen and not through the phone.

I perused the Forum but didn´t find anything that would guide the somewhat electronically challenged on this from idea to end product.

SiriusXM works for me in Mexico but I don’t go too far south of the US-Mexico border

Your factory radio supports SiriusXM

You only need to contact SiriusXM, verify with them you have SiriusXM Satellite coverage in your area and select a plan

this is the US #, I don’t know their local # for mexico
US: (888) 539-7474

You will need to tune the radio to channel 0 and obtain your Radio ID

Always get as much of a free trial package SiriusXm are willing to give you

and all of their plans are negotiable, you can often get great sign up deals

There is coverage however “SiriusXM provides service in the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. If you reside in Canada, SiriusXM service is available through SiriusXM Canada Inc. at www.siriusxm.ca.”

“April 6, 2021 - Sirius XM Connected Vehicle Services Inc., a provider of connected services to vehicle manufacturers, has launched service in Mexico through NissanConnect Services powered by SiriusXM. Drivers in Mexico in select 2021 Nissan Sentra and Nissan Kicks vehicles will have access to the suite of connected safety and convenience services that SiriusXM Connected Vehicle currently provides for Nissan and INFINITI vehicles in the United States and Canada.”

Sirius is already built in to the infotainment system. Go to settings, Sirius, and follow the prompts. If there is coverage it will work. If not, you should be able to get it through Android auto or Apple Car play, which is better anyway because you can customize the Artist Stations.

Oh man I remember when Sirius first came out & it wasn’t available in Canada. The satellite coverage of course was just fine & living where they had one AM station’s worth of coverage, satellite radio was an absolute godsend! A shop in town imported the receivers somehow & sold them for what was probably a pretty hefty markup. $400CAD IIRC. All you needed was a US address to sign up. I can’t imagine how much Sirius junk mail 1600 Pennsylvania Ave received. Now of course you can sign up normally & it’s all the same.

I got my first unit in 2005, didn't need a US address then, in hind site I should have paid the 400 bucks for the life time subscription....

Ah yes, the lifetime subscription. I might’ve done that then too & should’ve had I thought about it.

We did get the lifetime subscription years ago when Sears was offering it, I'm so glad we did as there are alot of stations on their website than in their app in the vehicles!
