Many issues ford saying Coincidence.

Hi everyone.
I have a bronco sport outer banks. 21.
104,000 already. I have my car at ford right now and they are telling me everything went out all at once. I find it hard to believe. They said the vacuum pump, camshaft sensors and turbo.
I was driving like normal. No issues. Out of nowhere my brakes were very hard. Couldn’t stop easily. I pulled in a little shop. And he said I had a code on the car. Camshaft sensor and turbocharger and vacuum supply.
took it to ford. He said sensors and vacuum pump. A day later he said turbo is out and is not running. How did that happen if I drove in with no engine problem. could the turbo went out and caused the pump and sensors to go out?
Any info is appreciated.

(I cannot comment on the coincidence issue but totally agree with checking with a qualified independent mechanic that you trust)

Can you send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you are currently working with? I would like to look into your Bronco's repairs on my end.

They said 1500 for parts only for a turbo. I see 700. No clue about the difference or maybe I need both? Thoughts?

I'm not sure what you're asking. Both what? You only need one turbocharger. It would be the top one listed in your last post (your car has the 1.5L EcoBoost engine).

Are there other parts required for a turbo replacement? Oil fittings , gaskets etc? And the link you posted said “out of stock” so while
They sell them at that price they CANT sell one at that price now, the in stock place
Might be 1350(plus gaskets, and fittings).

You took out of warranty vehicle to a rip off Ford stealership to get fixed? Wonder what that bill is gonna total out too?

I showed them the turbo was 700 online ford. Not 1400. They gave me the turbo for 700. I unfortunately don’t many options for a garage out here. Plus side i get 2 year warranty on the turbo.
Plus vacuum pump cam shaft sensor and a solenoid. I wish I knew enough to know if the turbo caused the other stuff to go out or vice-versa.

I remember being at a new car show a few years back, Ford had a booth with one the little 1..5L 3-cylinder turbos on display. It looked tiny, my wife thought it looked smaller than the engine on my lawn tractor and wondered how it could do the job. I told her it was a little pressure cooker that might make it to 125K if one were lucky.

I've got a 21 sport and it's currently in the dealership shop with bad turbo, and also the vacuum pump and sensors! What was your told spend on this and did it resolve everything?
