Striping Paint Disaster

Thank you, NH roads for painting yellow stripes in the rain! Drove through a few miles of this unknowingly splattering the driver side and rear of my car. Any advice for removing? Anyone with first hand knowledge? Need to remove yellow specks as well as a haze that is everywhere, from the paint, the wheels, and the plastics. High pressure car wash, Chemical Guys Detailer and Butter Wax, haven’t worked. Trying 3M Specialty Adhesive Remover soon. Thanks!

This for sure. The state is responsible for getting it removed from your car.

I once hit a pothole and bent a rim on a car I owned in the past. The state paid for the replacement rim and tire re-mounting.

Here in SoCal they just ignore your claim, and if that fails they fight you “tooth-and-nail”. All levels of gov have lawyers on retainer just sitting around waiting for something to do it seems.

Follow-up: 3M Specialty Advesive Remover for the win, with elbow grease and lots of microfiber cloths. The paint splatter melts right off clearcoat and vinyl surfaces, but the can warns against using on clear plastic light lenses, so I’ll use other less deadly cleaners on those. Very happy about this, and wanted to share for others.
