Had a error gomoff out of nowhere regarding having nonparking brake. Went away came back went away came back. Then one night I'm driving... And it stops. Electric works... But wouldn't move.

Dealer is saying bad transmission, need a new one, $8900. Thisnis crazy fron3 yrs old. Has anyone had this problem or a uodea how I get out of this issue? I need help.

Did you ever have any maintenance work done on your transmission, such as fluid changes every 30-40k miles? Lots of posts about transmissions failing around 100k.

Thats news nobody wants to hear.
Did the dealer actually check the transmission by opening it up, there are a number of solenoids that control how the transmission functions.
Dealers typically don't want to repair a transmission, swapping for a factory remanufactured or new transmission is easier and less time consuming for them therefore "needs a new transmission" is the diagnosis.
You can get another opinion from a shop that specializes in transmission work or look for a used replacement.

All solenoids were working, nonissies... No metal in the fluid, starts but won't even go into gear..... Im not spending in labor costs for them tontake it part to know why. It's done, it's done. If many are having these issues... Im calling Ford tomorrow and wanted to know. This is bullshite that 3 years and I have had 2 water pumps, all the recalls, the actuator replaced, issues with a solwmoid with the 4wd, the ever popkukar broken Mexican windshield, and now this. These trucks suck.

Thatvwas a mechanical issuebtheybweee ablen"tonfix" and was not a tranny issue. This all started when I pulled into a parking spot, out it in park and warning a started all going off that I had to use emergency brake bc park didn't work, then 4wd errors etc.... Went away... Came back.... Then just ground ronahaltnin the middle of the road in Boston. Lol.... 5 days later... 8900 transmission needed.

Well I've had it for 3 easybyears, and have had 3 issues with drivetrain/4wd, and no total breakdown of transmission. I know I'm not the only one. These trucks seem to have issues from the sqakin brakes to shutting down on highway, windshields and tranmission. Oh, and 2 water pumps.

That blows. Hope you get it sorted out sooner than later. After it’s fixed will you keep it or get something else?

Since it is out of warranty, there is no sense in taking it to the dealer. You're much better off going to a transmission shop. They do a lot of transmissions, and are much less expensive. I had the transmission rebuilt on my Jeep Liberty about 5 years ago, and it cost $4,500. Even with Bidenflation, it shouldn't be over $6,000

I have a ā€˜21 Badlands with 50,000 km (about 30,000 miles). About 3 weeks ago I had the recalls done. The next week, the transmission began slipping and only reluctantly went into gear at all. The dealer did a complete strip down of the transmission and I’m told found that a seal had failed, damaged internal parts and also damaged the torque converter. They are now waiting for parts. Fortunately, my dealer assumed responsibility and has provided me with a courtesy vehicle until the repairs are completed.

Dang. I had the recall done 3 days ago right before a road trip and today for the first time since purchased (I’m at just under 14k miles) I had gnarly transmission shuddering going on. I told myself it’s normal so I didn’t panic the whole drive home but we were cruising at an awkward 10 mph through a Main Street area and without fail, anytime I hit 10 mph it felt exactly like right before a breakdown. Shaking felt in the cab etc. but as soon as we got above 10 mph it went away so maybe everything’s fine haha

My 21 BB does that too bought it new. I do my best to avoid those situations that will make it do that. I took it to the dealer shortly after I got the vehicle and they told me they couldn't replicate it and I would need to make another appointment to replicate with someone in the car. I never did becaue i was pissed. But I am concerned on getting this recall done now. I'm still under warranty though. I haven't had any problems but the water pumps as I'm on my 3rd. Which now I should probably recheck up on that

I had a 2021 Big Bend that I really liked, but at 16,000 miles, the tranny started to leak. Ford replaced the transmission under warranty and I sold it to CarMax. I got a 2023 Maverick and hoping I won’t have the same issues, ??

Sorry to hear that your transmission failed, I’m sure you must be really frustrated.
