Vehicle Data Collection?

1. What's this all about? I can't find anything in Settings that addresses it.
2. Ford says they don't share data with insurers like GM does...but I remain skeptical when I see a message like this!
3. And the message keeps popping up every time I start a new trip, no matter I hit OK every time. Please make it go away!

I just had this same screen start popping up the last couple of days.So thanks i was going to start a thread about it now i don't have to.Just curious how many miles is on your BS?

Low...3500 in 1 year!
And Sync is up to date. But I did find a couple data reporting options (sync & audio) that were on. I toggled them off, we'll see...

Mine has just over 2,800 miles on it bought it December IIRC 20th 2023.. Let me know if turning those off helped,Thanks

It’s not up to date and the scanning for updates basically is broken

you will need to update to 23188 to get that message to disappear. Update via USB Device is the safest and quickest.

My Honda had a breadcrumb feature that showed where I went whenever I got off the road. I don’t really use Ford’s maps but I’ve seen dots showing where I’ve been.

This could just be saying it’s tracking that. I’m not sure how to delete the data or turn that off but it doesn’t bother me. Yet.

You can turn off the WiFi and auto update in the settings screen. Do the sync update manually using a USB stick, properly formatted, with files downloaded from Ford website.

So, I only get this message if I drive my wifes car. The BS has her cell phone connected to it. when I drive, the BS cannot find her phone and this message comes up. If she is in the car, all is clear.

I also only get the message when I forget to take my phone with me and drive off without it.

This message pops up if your phone is not connected via bluetooth. It must use phone telemetry data for something unless turned off, then it defaults to in-vehicle.

So OP is probably not connecting a cell phone to Sync.

In OPs case, Sync 3.4.22251 is installed and for sure that needs to be updated to 23188. And missing the cell phone is a secondary possibility.
