Good summary. Here’s the articles key takeaways for issues remaining in the EcoBoost 2.0-liter Twin Scroll:

solved a lot (but not all) of the coolant intrusion issues common in the first-gen 2.0-liter engine.

is known for its boost solenoid prematurely failing, resulting in a malfunctioning turbocharger, a check engine light, and a significant lack of power. Fortunately, it's a relatively easy — and inexpensive — DIY fix for you shade tree mechanics out there

The 2.3 is sucha a "mini-monster". I hemmed and hawed over a base Bronco with a 2.3 for a while before deciding I couldn't swing that much extra on a vehicle. But it delivers so much power, for such a small engine. I thought the 2.0 would be a bit similar in that regard, due to the good work it did on the Focus. But duh gator....on a small Focus....it 'performs'...but on a bulker, heavier BS .... its not going to be as zippy.

However, with as many issues as the V6 has dealth with... I'd have thought the 2.0 would be a head of it. Not sure how much 'power' and 'performance' came into play in the equation rather than just being an ultra reliable engine.

But a cool list regardless! Cheers!
