Car wash averse is the best way to describe me since I'm a bit picky about how my car is detailed. I always do it by hand, always with Chemical Guys products. I bought a pressure washer and a foam cannon which significantly cut down on the amount of time spent on the exterior. Doing it by hand is the only way I can get all the bugs and nastiness out of the paint. I apply a wax coat every other wash, too. Keeps it purdy.

I pay $25 a month for the car wash on my BSBB. I'm mainly concerned about washing the salt out from the frame area. Been doing it once a bweek or more for the last 16 months. No problems with anything. Antenna is fine. I only got nervous in the beginning when I thought the thin hood was going to rip off in the drying phase.

I take mine through a car wash with brushes 2 to 3 times a week, only problem I've had is back hatch window leaked and got water in back with the spiral defroster cord stuck in the seal.

Here in Northeast,Ohio it's hard to wash them yourself in the Winter although i washed mine on Christmas day since it was 60 degrees outside!!I did take it through the Automatic Car Wash with brushes and under chassis wash yesterday since it was only 38 degrees and the wind chill was in the 20's!!I looked it over afterwards and all looked good no scratches!!Here's a picture from Christmas day although my camera date was off by a day!!

I live in Upstate NY on a back gravel road that is usually not maintained. As a result, we protect our vehicles by covering them in a thick coating of mud, dirt, small rocks, grit, and salt in the late fall and leave the protective coating on until mid-summerish time. It seems to protect the vehicles color as you cannot see it and aids in unbalanced tires as the protective coating tends to gum up in the rims. We've done it for years. Highly recommend!

Rather than take the tall antenna off temporarily before going through a car wash, I just replaced with a shorter one that won't break off. I like simple, one and done solutions to problems.
Me too; I got the Stubby antenna on Amazon ($25 there as compared to manufacturer direct $20) - https://www.cravenspeed.com/the-stubby-antenna-for-ford-bronco-sport-junior/?https://www.cravenspeed.com/&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAkeSsBhDUARIsAK3tied9kvaT-rlgGRkULzCBuE4LBphrqt024dCUq2ae4EJWbC5jG481fMsaAm6-EALw_wcB

I am in suburbs with great paved roads ....lol
There is not enough mud to coat the car and it would really stand out

I live in an 2ed floor apartment w/o a hose bib on the outside so I hit the car wash once or twice a week. This is the 3rd vehicle and I have through the car wash in the last 5 years and I have yet to notice any ill effects

Does your dealer (where you bought it) offer complementary car washes? Take it up on a weekend morning.

Thank you. It's a 51 Vic with a 302 V8 from an 87 Lincoln with the C4 auto in it from the same Lincoln. So many Fords out here have 350 Chevy's I wanted to keep it all Fird. Drove 900 miles to get it.

In NC, we occasionally get huge downpours of rain. I pull the car out of the garage. Twice around the block and then wipe it down with a microfiber towel. Free brushless car wash. ?
This is just like in oregon, free wash all the time. Now in texas, cant hand wash as there are water restrictions so car wash is the only way to go now. Antenna still intact

Nice old Ford I'm glad you kept the 51 Vic Ford Powered i hate seeing Fords with Chevy engines in them.I just look quick when i see that and keep on walking i have no interest at all in Chevy engine swapped Fords.
