Anyone seen any plans for the old school swing out tire mount for the BS?

You would need to find a solid structure under the skin to mount to. IMHO, the skin is not thick enough to support the weight, especially in an off-road situation where the forces are multiplied.

I would have liked that option, but I think the only option is a mount on your hitch. I'd like one to hold an extra spare and a gas can. The gas tank on the BS is way to small for serious offroading.

Makes sense. Structural issues for this can be easily fixed in future production models. Or an aftermarket bumper with a riser to support the swing out.

There's one in my neighborhood that has a hitch mounted version. I wasn't a big fan of the look, myself. It stuck out way too far. They had a bike rack behind that as well.

I'm guessing there is no structure underneath that is capable of holding the weight of a tire mount plus the tire. I can see it now... swing that thing open, it either rips the rear quarter off the BS or maybe tips the whole rig over like the brontosaurus ribs did with the Flintstone-mobile. ? Either way, I'm good with it as-is.

I’m not sure if you’re serious but….

Ha! Forgot about the white Bronco icon.

My old memory fails me.

So, if he were to be driving a Bronco today, what model do you think he'd be in?

You want someone chasing down a cop? Hmmm. I hope I’m misinterpreting your comment but if not ….. hmmmm
Fortunately you are misinterpreting. I spent 13 years as a contractor to our Wake County Sheriff's Office as a Firearms Instructor. My flag is the thin blue line.

Sorry. Not a fan. Plus, my dogs like the pop-up window too much.
