I like it.
Every once in awhile my alien friends come to visit me when they pick up or feed their pet sasquatches.

Area 51 is a highly secret USAF base in Nevada. Civilians can't get near it which adds to the mystique and speculation of what they do there. They test various aircraft and who knows what else. I've never heard any alien connection.

I liked the Area 51 on a BS because it reminded me of the first Broncos. I had a friend that had one in light blue in 1966 and I lusted after that thing. We banged it up good in the deserts of AZ.

Yeah, you've got the best color combo on any year Sport. I refuse to give up my '21 and about $5,600 (and a few lost features) to get it though. I prefer the black on the Cyber Orange, but the biggest advantage of C/G is how it shows swirls and spots so much less. Black on any car is a nightmare. Worse with all the interspersed plastic bits you have to keep the wax polish off of!
You won't trade for $5600! :like:

My father had to go to Area 51 for an issue when the first stealth fighters were being developed and tested there. When he filed for his travel reimbursement back at the office he had a flight from home to Reno and a flight from Las Vegas to home. Accounting asked for the travel receipt for Reno to Las Vegas, he told them to not worry about that leg of the trip. (Oh, and to stay on topic. Love the color of my Area 51 OBX)

Actually, civilians can get near it and even into it and they do on a regular basis.

I've been there around 2 dozen times and a guy I shoot wobble trap with has a brother that's been there more than me. He's also a civilian.

Tons of contractors go there all the time. I was even honored with becoming an honorary employee of the security force there and was given a polo shirt with the security logo on it.

I have an Area 51 - and like the color, but there are now 4 other Bronco Sports in my parking lot at work and they are all Area 51. So maybe it is time to offer some new colors.
I keep walking up to the wrong car...

and that's the problem with popular colors. They are all over the place.

My Carbon Gray is looking better and better, as I see very few in my area, and I understand the color is now only for “fleet vehicles”, and I don’t know of any fleets of BS’s in SoCal.

I don’t understand what Area 51 means as a color? It is just a made up name Next it will be Main Street? Just stick to the true colors and shades there of.
Good riddance I say.
If you don't understand, its not for you.

You can go on Build and Price and build a Bronco Sport with Carbonized Gray on every trim level. Not just fleet. CG is one of the widest used colors in the Ford color wheel, especially on F-Series trucks. It does not seem to be as prevalent on the Sport, but Ford never seems to not offer CG. They must buy a ton of it - and yes, it is a popular fleet color, along with Oxford White, but it isn't limited to fleet purchases.

It's not available on 24 model BS's.
