Good news that the Op's BS was repaired.

Right that 2022 date might relate to the 22S73 PCM Programming and Drain Tube Installation (Recall) which needs to be have been completed prior to the no-cost, one-time replacement (if needed) of all three high-pressure fuel injectors as discussed in that PDF.

Yes they replaced all 3 injectors. I neglected to ask if they were the same part or different. I attached the invoice, someone may know based on the part number.

Thanks for sharing. If possible, can you ask your service department if they can give you any details about the difference(s), if any, between the injectors they installed and the ones they removed? Forum users are trying to ascertain if the injectors installed at the factory are materially different from the replacements.

I just had the Fuel Injector Recall fix completed on my 2021 OB this week.

Yeah I’d like to know the mileage too. Also did you have the recall done before it happened? I thought there was a program installed that was supposed to warn you if your car started leaking fuel.

Yes. The recall isn’t meant to eliminate the possibility of a fuel leak. Read through this entire thread. There’s a lot of info about this on the site, but you’ll need to spend some time searching for it.

You are welcome and in the PDF it is stated that the recall work (drain tube and PCM Programming) is a prerequisite.

but you stated “reinstalls” and that implies to me that you are asking if the drain tube is removed, the E part fuel injectors are installed and the drain tube is put back on. Is that what you are asking?

I don’t know the specific order of installation but in the end the drain tube and related PCM Programming is in place along with the E part fuel injectors as stated in the posted PDF. The dealership service department can answer your specific question on the installation order.

Since a drain tube will be reinstalled/in place along with the replacement fuel injectors, I am not reassured that the replacements won't also fail - but if the replacements fail, Ford will not replace them again at no cost.
