I checked my idle today with my 1.5L. It was around 1k rpm.I didn't check my idle speed, but I don't think that has anything to do with your issue. 1000 RPM idle seems high to me, but my car doesn't have the same engine as yours.

After thinking about it, that makes sense. Smaller engines have less moving mass. Less mass means less momentum, so they require a higher idle speed. My brother's 1600cc motorcycle idles right around 1000 rpm.I checked my idle today with my 1.5L. It was around 1k rpm.
Mine did the same thing. There were some updates that for what ever reason did not automatically download to my trucks system. Took it in to the dealer and the service tech manually downloaded the updates and after that the stop/start would work as soon as I let off the brake. So I don't know if it was an update that dealt with this problem or if during the update it changed some settings on my truck. Anyway it starts back up as soon as I let off the brake now.I'm aware of this and it's not the cause
I deleted mine.
How in (select deity)'s name, does plugging in a nite lite effect the stop/start?Ah, gotcha.
I didn't want to spend $100, so I just added a $1.41 night light.

Having the nite light plugged in tells the computer power is needed for what's plugged in. Thus the alternator needs to turn so as not to draw down the battery. How in (select deity)'s name, does plugging in a nite lite effect the stop/start?
BTW, I truly have no idea why so many find this feature so egregious. I've been driving for over 50 years and don't see an effect on driving in any way whatsoever: other than it gets quieter for a few seconds. No lag, no adverse effect on the vehicle - it just works as advertises.
That's brilliant.Having the nite light plugged in tells the computer power is needed for what's plugged in. Thus the alternator needs to turn so as not to draw down the battery.
