Oh my goodness! I’m in Oakville, Ontario, have a ‘21 Badlands and twice last week I was stopped at a red light, foot on brake, auto shut-off turned off, and my car shut down and shifted into park. It did, however, re-start. My dealer can’t take it in till May 1 due to winter tire changeover so I’m holding my breath every time I’m stopped in traffic with my foot on the brake.

That’s hilarious. I will definitely update this thread next week. BTW mine didn’t show any warning lights, codes, etc. on the dash. It simply shut itself off for no reason but was able to restart ?‍♀

Wow...A diehard fan after that initial experience on the first day!
There's so much technology in these new vehicles! Things happen. It's too pretty for me not to love.

OMG....sounds like the same problem...except mine didn't restart....the dealer told me when then pulled some of the spark plugs it appeared to be flooded. (could be because I had two towing trucks from the same company and both drivers tried to start it after I had cranked it a few times. Makes me feel better that someone else might have the same problem. I'll keep you posted as to what they find out...and good luck keeping it going until your appointment. THANKS!!
The engine needs three things to run: fuel, air, and a spark. It seems yours is getting fuel; now they just need to figure out if it's getting air and a spark!

While I was stopped at a red light, I was first in line to go once the light changed. When it turned green I took my foot off the brake and my Badlands died (I do drive with the automatic shut off turned off). It wouldn't start again. Message on screen kept telling me to put it into park....but when it shut off it immediately went into park. I tried everything to get it started again. Ended up having to call Roadside Assistance and have it flatbed towed to the nearest Ford dealer....Anyone have this happen to them and know what the problem could be? Dealer is trying to find out but so far hasn't found the problem. HELP!!!
While waiting at a drive through, my engine cut off completely, all went dark and silent, not a whistle or bell. I suspected the battery and while checking things out, found my negative battery cable loose at the chassis mount. Once I tightened the connection, everything was fine.

Ok.....part of the mystery solved. I got half a tank of some mystery substance. It is blue-coloured, heavier than premium gasoline, and separates when it sits for about 5 minutes in a bottle. Sample taken outside a lit on fire...the premium burnt off, the blue doesn't burn. In fact, the blue stuff was still wet the following day. I have pictures that show how the premium separates to the top in a few minutes. The picture with 4 bottles shows diesel fuel, then diesel and gasoline mixed, the 3rd bottle is just premium and the 4th bottle that is blue is what is in my gas tank...

Diesel fuel comes in different colors, one of them is blue. What fuel brand do you typically use? Also kerosene often has blue dye in it as well.

Diesel burns. I wonder if they put DEF in the tank. Truck stops have pumps for DEF. Maybe they put gasoline in a truck that had DEF in it previously.
