My 2021 Badlands lists the engine built in Spain.
Interesting. Ford's corporate site lists all the different models the Valencia engine plant produces engines for, and the Bronco Sport isn't on the list. Perhaps supply chain issues affected Ford's plans for 2.0L engine production. Who knows?

If you look at the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Technical Specifications from from Ford ( its a PDF)... It states the First Edition and Badlands (basically any 2.0L) , the engine is manufactured in Cleveland, OH or Valencia, Spain. Mine was also made in Spain. Like I said in my earlier post on this thread, I personally came to the conclusion that on pre 2019's 2.0L with the coolant intrusion issue, it was happening on engines made at both plants. So I don't think it matters, Lets hope the issue was fixed on 2020 and up 2.0L......time will tell!!

Stumbled across this video this morning. I really like the guy who produces these. If you look carefully at the technical service bulletin (TSB) it lists the on-or-before build dates for the various vehicles it applies to. It appears this was an issue Ford was well aware of for the time period in question. Based on the dates, I'm confident whatever manufacturing defect was causing this issue has been sorted for the newer engines.

Why not? The 2.3L is really just a stroked 2.0L, so fitment shouldn't be an issue. With custom internals the block should be good for a lot more horsepower. Some vendors advertise 700+, but I'm not sure I would push it that far with a Bronco Sport. What the heck would you do with 700 hp in a Bronco Sport?
get a lot of tickets...oh this was rehtorical?

According to this article, 2.0L and 2.3L EcoBoost engines used in cars destined for the North America market use engines built in Ohio. Ford moved EcoBoost production from Valencia to Ohio several years back. Valencia still makes engines for the European market.

In the description of the video, the producer wrote, "This is very common concern across the board on all Ford four cylinder ecoboost engines." Before getting to concerned about this I would like to know his definition of "very common." There are literally millions of Ford's EcoBoost engines in operation around the world. It seems to me if a serious issue like the one described in the video were very common there would be more chatter about it online.
I have a Badlands with the 2.0 turbo and my window sticker says that the origin of the engine is Spain.

I think the right question is "What wouldn't I do with 700 HP in my BS?"

700HP Bronco Sport, the Badlands with 250HP is squirrely enough depending on where the front wheels are pointed when you mash the gas pedal.

Buzzkill, why do you have to bring reality into this discussion?
