Sorry, but a lift will not change the rubbing problem. The rub is at the back of the wheel well and only happens with the wheel turned. If this were not the case, lots of people here, including me, would have 31’s.
:)

I’ve got undeniable proof that it will work. And I won’t be the first to have done it.

I’ll post pics when it’s done.

You are right that it can be done, if you are willing to trim the unibody. We have had discussions about the reasons that should not be done. Good luck with the project.

This morning I changed my brake and back-up lights over to LED. Much lighter when backing up.

I also installed the panel under the glove box that is now missing on the newer Bronco Sport models.

I think there is a lot of misunderstanding. I won’t be cutting into or trimming the unibody. I’ll post when it’s done.

You might want to have a look at my post here, that shows the tire in the wheel well with steering.

I appreciate where you are coming from. I’m just telling you I won’t be the first. Attached is an image of a Bronco Sport with the lift I’ll be doing, and the same 31” wheels I’m putting on. No cutting, no rubbing or fit issues.

Great looking ride. Whatever secret sauce that was applied to fit without cutting, rubbing, or fitment issues; there are a long list of people here very interested in that sauce.

I agree if someone has a way to fit 31's with just a 1.75" lift and no rubbing, there will be long line of interested BS owners including myself. Ever since Ford showed up their overlanding rig with 31s and then nothing since.

I will post back here a thorough detail of how this goes. I should have mine all done on February 6th, assuming no delay in getting in parts.

Got my new OBX home yesterday.

I worked under the hood. Installed factory engine cover, redline hood struts, Steeda strut tower brace, and a K&N air filter.
I shouldn't be surprised, but how can it be that Ford skips the engine cover and the hood insulation, but yet somehow manages to get this one on the OB models?

With the steering geometry, I don't think there's anywhere where to go without bumping into something. And you certainly wouldn't want to get this in a bind off road. That would be a disaster IMO.

Question: Do you know the owner of this vehicle, or is this something you picked up off the interweb?

If this is where you got the pic from: https://fordrangerlifts.com/shop/ols/products/bronco-sport-badlands-first-edition

Note that they say: Recommended tire size is 245/65/17 or 245/65/18. Max tire sizes 245/70/17, 255/75/17, 255/60/18, 245/65/18 with minor trimming of the Pinch weld on the firewall and minor trimming of plastic.

That disclaimer is definitely on the website. I spoke to the owner of the vehicle and the owner of the shop. The owner of the vehicle claims it fit with no trimming. The shop owner claimed the same thing. We shall see.
