I am wondering if the washer wasn’t very effective. I remember seeing a video somewhere and they used it and it just covered the camera in fluid droplets and you couldn’t see anything anyway.

That’s possible. I was certainly surprised to see this article too as even if it isn’t the most effective, it certainly helps.

Mine works great. If you aren’t getting a good stream then you may need to clean off the port.

min all seriousness, it’s a powerful enough stream On mine that it shoots 3ft behind the car after bouncing off the camera haha. Pisses people off when I clean the rear window in traffic.

Does anyone know WHY they deleted the rear camera washer? Ford couldn't be saving much from deleting such a minor feature?

Yes, that is a new update for 2023, it is standard on all Outer Banks, also includes the memory for the mirrors.

Same reason they deleted engine cover it saves $3 per vehicle and thats a $3 per vehicle more profit for Ford. Plus less parts that could delay production too.

Four things I wish I had on my OB based on the pricepoint I paid, in order of necessity:

1. Power liftgate
2. Front object detection sensors
3. Park assist
4. Turn signals on the mirrors

Memory seats are a nice addition for '23 but overall not really any major changes.

I’d like # 2 and # 3
