Yes, that's what I told myself every evening while crying into my Martini.
Being an engineering consultant, I have to accept that many times people pay for information that they never use.

Looks like my Badlands Premium comes with the remote start. Not sure I really need the plus system unless I am missing something?

The glass breakage sensor is nice but not sure if that is it I should shift to it.

Since you already have remote start all it would add is the shock sensor.
It has two stages, a light shock makes it honk once as a warning. A heavy shock makes the alarm trigger. Glass breakage is detected assuming it would take a heavy shock to do, so the sensitivity has to be adjusted correctly, which is just a knob on the module.

Thanks for the info. Will keep it on the list. Just getting to know the BS having picked it up last weekend.

I traded in my BS on a 2021 2DR... Just a note, since the full size bronco has Sync 4, the gateway module is different. The wiring harness off the Sport will not work on the full size and vice versa. So if you're gonna switch to a bronco you can't just pull the security system and install it in the new one. I tried :)
The wiring harness alone was hard to find. I couldn't find it online, had to go to the parts department at my dealership. They wanted $100 MSRP for just the harness. The complete new alarm is $215 msrp and you can usually find that for a discount online.

I ordered one, I have one on my f250 and it works well. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the knee bolster panel without breaking any clips? Removing panels like this one gives me anxiety :whew:

Just installed the perimeter plus. Not sure what's up but when I walk up to the car with the fob in my pocket, press the tailgate button on the hatch, the alarm starts to sounds. Shouldn't the system be disabled when the fob is near?

Firm, even, increasing pressure. Don't yank.

Yeah, that's not right. I think the instructions came with a troubleshooting guide.

Didn't come with any instructions. There was link on where to find instructions but was a dealer portal, don't have a user name and password.

Mine didn't come with instructions either so I called Fairway Ford (where perimeter plus was purchased) and they emailed me the installation instructions.

Not sure what is up. I can enter into programming and get single and double honks. Not much to troubleshoot since there is essentially no programming involved. Only when I walk up to the car and hit the liftgate button it triggers the alarm. No issues with any of the other doors. The car obviously senses the key because it lets me pop the liftgate without pressing the fob.

Some have had an issue where the liftgate no longer recognizes the fob. IIRC, the fix is to press the liftgate button on the fob twice; for some reason this seems to reset the passive entry system as regards the liftgate. I wonder if that might fix this issue as well?

Solved.....I unplugged the module for a few minutes then plugged it back in. Got in the car and relearned the module. Doors locked then unlocked by themselves which means it's setup. Working fine now.
