You'll need a truck with a generator and extra gas to recharge with.

Let’s see, I’m out in the great out doors or on the concrete jungle away from my home town and I need fuel.
Nothing around but 115 volt outlets to recharge at.
Hotel room $100, dinner and breakfast $30.
Takes all night to get a 45% charge on 115 volt outlets.
I’m out in the woods playing woodsman.
My question is a simple one.
Where can I get a can of electricity to poor in my tank.
These EV’s are for city use only so why a Jeep look a like ?
They should all be minivans.
Just sayin.
Fwiw I saw a train with a hundred or more cars filled with coal. I thought, oh! Fuel for electric cars.. :,P
We could have been on hydrogen twenty years ago but no, we let big oil kill that system.
We are being led by our nose rings to our doom.

There wasn’t a gasoline infrastructure when cars were first introduced it had to be developed. I’m sure the cart and buggy purists made the same jokes. Unless the horse runs away you’re fine, now with gas if you’re out you’re out….

The battery tech, yes still not great I’m not an EV person but I don’t hate the tech, is rapidly progressing and I imagine things will look quite a bit different in a few years.

Fast chargers, possible anywhere there is a utility pole and a parking space, even in the boonies. Being produced and installed around the country now as we speak. People/ cities are waiting in line to get them. Connect with your phone, the plug unreels from above (to deter theft and vandalism) you charge and go and the plug retracts automatically. A combination of Lincoln Welder and Genie Garage Door (HIGH lol) tech way way cheaper than Tesla or other brand chargers and smaller than a pole transformer.

Those coal trains? Headed to Europe because, well y'all know why. They're rolling past Texas because Texas is too busy installing wind turbines to think much about a much more expensive coal or oil plant. The oil capitol of the USA going all in on wind, WTF?
Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, you can't get much closer to oil and coal fields, are all going big on wind.

My thought here is what do you do with all that extra wind power over night? Make Hydrogen obviously, a great way to store energy. Not for cars yet, too much infrastructure involved there but trains and planes with centralized fueling depots yes. Hindenburg anyone? Think of all the Earths crust we'll save.

Me? ICE ICE baby. I'll stick with V8s and/or turbos.

Yep gas was plentiful and cheap back then.
My problem with EV’s is the infrastructure, the grid is way way behind. And as it gets upgraded we will get raped on the cost.
The far greater power demand will require us to burn more of the stuff that kills us now.
Again Hydrogen tech was available long ago and the only exhaust was pure water.
We should go with hybrids consisting of hydrogen drive and electric.
Hydrogen for 600-800 mile ranges in cars and more than that in commercial trucks and farm equipment. With ev kicking in in slower city traffic.
But not gonna happen because we have relinquished control to big oil and paid off political puppets, that we do not hold the strings to. I am going to hate to see the world burn in my life time but it looks like It will happen.

Again it should have been hydrogen as stated in my previous post.
My only problem with electric cars is the hidden cost and the not ready infrastructure.
The disposal of old batteries may be worse than nuclear waste.
Everybody goes electric and our atmosphere will teach us the cost of burning all that extra coal.
Hybrids make better sense.
