Been doing some shopping... only found one dealer within 50 miles of my home in San Antonio that did not mark up vehicles over MSRP. I texted them yesterday about two Badlands showing on Ford's web site as "just arrived" on their lot. Sales rep texted me that both were reserved with deposits. He called me a few hours later advising that on one of them, the buyer BACKED OUT, asking if I was interested. The salesman's wife works in the the dealer's office and IMMEDIATELY told him of the "back out" before notifying the sales manager, so he called me immediately due to my inquiry just a few hours earlier. Was I Interested? HELL YES! Badlands with Premium package, sun roof, 235/65 Wildpeaks, Velocity Blue (not my preferred color but nice looking) and noting else added. I IMMEDIATELY gave him a deposit over the phone, and picked up the "BBB" (Blue Baby Bronco) this evening. I had been shopping for one at the older base price, but all of those were at dealers with $5,000 markups! This one's MSRP was $41,865, and that's all I paid! (trade-in plus cash) I only had to haggle a little to get my trade-in value up to that of a quote from Car Max. ASK ME IF I AM HAPPY?
