Are there any improvements on the 22's vs the 21's, or just downgrades?

I’m going by the dealer to get my front license plate bracket installed, I’ll see what they say about the headrests…

I do fold the seats quite a lot and not having those has been annoying.

Update: …and they didn’t. Talked to my sales guy and he was unaware of the omission. I can tell this’ll become something I look more into.

Honestly, not having the perforations in the leather on my 22 OBX is worth all the other losses. The smooth leather looks so much nicer and won't catch all the dust and dirt and crumbs.

Can you post a pic of your seat? Want to compare it with my 22 which I believe are perforated.

That's what I was thinking too. I'd imagine if there were ever any crumbs or something spilled, non-perf seats would be much easier to clean. After all, this thing is meant to handle trekking through the dirt off-road

So the 2021 had this - if you look at the black, it has all those little dots:

On the 2022 (or at least mine), that black area is all smooth -

Called ford parts today, they're going to get back to me, hopefully with a part number via e-mail. Will report back.

My 22 looks just like those 21 pics. The last pic isn't close enough or focused to tell. Is that suppose to be the one without the perforations? It looks like they are there.

Maybe a better close up pic of your seat? When was yours built?

Thanks I appreciate it. I’ll happily order and pay for them. It’ll be good to know if I can and when.

Isn't that interesting. Mine was built in January. Thanks for the pics. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it. I could take it either way but there are some on here that would outraged by such a "huge" change.

Personally, I'm a fan - the one I test drove way back was a 21 and I wasn't a huge fan of the micro perf mostly because I could imagine how dirty they would get to clean (and needing a vacuum vs a leather wipe). Kind of surprising that it wasn't a model year change and more a gradual phaseover change.

Yes little bits can get stuck in the seat perforations. I use a tooth brush to work them out of the little holes.

The 22’s did add homelink in the visor so there’s that.
I set mine up like a week or two ago and I've been pretty disappointed by it. I basically have to be like 5 feet from my garage for it to work. My regular garage door opener works when I'm still in the road and haven't even pulled into the driveway. If you absolutely need the "clean" look without a garage door opener on your visor or where ever you put it, then I guess it's an option, or if your battery in your opener dies, but I ended up just going back to the old opener.
