How've you modified your hatch Ford oval emblem?

Now that I swapped out the rear hatch emblems with OEM gloss black and added the bucking bronco, I am wanting to darken up the Ford oval. There are many options from the OEM black and brushed oval, to custom ones with mountains, decals/overlays. Curious as to what all you have done.

So far this is where I am leaning (mine is an Outerbanks):

i have the Black Appearance Package so i have the OEM Black one myself, and it's fine, but i like the OBX one you found even better...

Its from 4x4graphics, they have a ton of options. I did plastidip the emblem and like it black and now want something permanent.

Took mine apart and body matched the blue, and repainted the chrome with tuxedo black.

Looks amazing! I did several like that a few years back on my old F150s. Its quite the process to remove, take apart, paint, reassemble and install.

OEM blackout. Super easy to swap. The original sticker under was barely holding and I basically just needed to release the tabs (used 2x old hotel keys top and bottom, one side then the other).

Yeah thats interesting because my emblem is super loose, apparently there is little to no tape holding it on, just the 2 clips or posts/studs.

When you guys say OEM blackout, is there more than 1 oval available. Some appear with the black oval and dark tarnished chrome while others appear to be all black.

Mine are all black painted between matte and gloss finish. The ones with black chrome look is an overlay sticker. Or the black apparent package for emblem as seen above.

This is an actual full emblem replacement

Yes, that is an actual ford one. But many times ppl just use the sticker overlay as it is cheap and quick.

Yeah I dont want a sticker if I can find a full replacement oval. Ikonic and ISFP have nice options, but ISFP is ran by a guy that talks too much about why delays are always happening and it takes months to get a gel overlay from him.

Many ppl don’t want to spend the money to do it right. And that is there choice. OEM or Painted in my opinion is the best.

I agree, I am leaning the first 2 options as well as an all black flag one from Ikonic.
