I bought the Discount Tire Road Hazard Warranties for years (since 1980), and used them several times. My son hit a rock big enough that it broke his aluminum wheel, and the warranty covered it. Over the years, the cost has gone up to the point where I think I'm ahead to self insure. Seems like tires are better than they were 40 years ago.
