Does anyone besides me wish the hood didn’t have the two bumps and was more flat like the big Bronco.

The wife loves her Bronco
Sport and for the most part so do i, the hood is the only thing I would change. Well maybe a lift and 33s ??

They are for wheel placement when off road .It gives a safe zone for spacing between the inside of tires.
Not the ones on the outside the two in the middle of the hood. They should have nothing to do with tire placement

Let’s say that is what you could use them for, still doesn’t look good IMO...

If you look at the hood of a bronco that is soon to come out the black do dads are used for safe zone placement I do believe.
You are correct with those and that makes sense to me.

I love the hood! I drove my brother in law’s 67 Bronco many years ago and the first thing I noticed when I looked over the hood of this new one is that it felt the same as the old one.....bumps on the hood and round humps when it rolls into the fenders.

With a flat hood it would look like any old SUV. This is about Character. No one HAD to purchase one!
I was in line at a fast food drive though today and noticed a Honda CR-V, that compact Oldsmobile suv, and a Nissan Rouge in the line in front of me....all slightly different but very much the same! The BS will never be lumped in that category when it comes to looks!

It probably adds some rigidity also. Edges are stronger than flat panels. Think meeting a semi when the wind is right. I remember seeing a post about the hood flexing.
