Manufacturers will move to the U.S. whether they like it or not. Either that or their products will become less attractive to American consumers.

lovely!!! Every single car in the US will be impacted once the auto parts kicks in.

What these tariffs will also do is diminish sales and reputation outside the US - tariffs will make American cars uncompetitive cost-wise in other countries…

you can 100% expect Mexico, Canada and Europe to retaliate - if these 3 countries bundle up together, Mexican, Canadian and European vehicles made without US content, therefore without tariff, will be much cheaper.

When I decided to look for a new car 2 months ago, and not wait for the end of my Mazda CX-5 lease to run out in August, this was one of my concerns.

I am quite happy I made the choice I did and got my nice Eruption Green Outer Banks last month, just to be sure there wouldn't be such a hike.
