Ford Bronco Sport What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today? 20220423_133329

Nothing too exciting but I made a trip down the mountain to my preferred Ford dealership for the Bronco's 10,000 service and first oil change. Everything looked great but they did mention that both front tires may need to be replaced soon as they are showing only 5/23 thread left. It's hard to beleive that these things won't make it 20,000 miles, but they look good to me. I'll have my local tires shop take a look to make sure everything is balanced and aligned properly.

While visiting the big city, I treated our baby to the full treatment at one of those "fancy" car wash places. It was nice to spend some time behind the wheel as it's been a bit since I got some seat time. I didn't actually hit 10,000 until I got back into town and I had to pull over for a 10,000 mile photo shoot.
Took mine for a ride too! Went and drove a 2 door BD in the mud for an hour courtesy of Ford Motor Company!

:champagne:

How’re the wild peaks? Saw those and the TOYO open country. But obviously a huge price difference. How’s the off-road and on road experience with those?
i can tell you the on road isn’t bad at all. A bit stiffer if anything? But that I think is to be expected. Quiet with only the slightest hum, mostly when cornering.

off-road, so far I have done two trails on them. One was Table Mesa here in AZ. Rocky and steep. Only slipped a tiny bit and I was in normal the whole way.

You can find that ride here:

Did Hassayampa and Box Canyon in Wickenburg today. That video isn’t up. But it is a sandy river bottom with spotsof super soft sand (air down sand) and some water fording. Tires never slipped on the sand, but she did have some slippage on a muddy spot and on the rocks under the water. Just soldiered through it tho.

I think the falcons are a great tire. But it’s my first 4x4/off-roader so I don’t have a lot to compare to.

You can pop out the blanking plates for fog lights it appears, but I don't recall seeing a way to remove the grille.
you can get behind the grille without taking the entire front end off.

remove the top cover and the air intake to the air filter. This will open up the top in order to get behind the grille. You’ll have about a 3-4 inch gap to work with.

Keep seeing these. Why the side steps? The BS is low to step into even with bigger tires and a lift. And off-road you’re gonna rip them off or crush them into your ride.
I agree. Could be for putting stuff up and taking down from roof. Or just for looks, I guess.

Yup, just a little margin in that build. Pretty typical.
I’m always amazed at how much they get for nitrogen filled tires. Yet, people buy it.

This is a cool-looking truck, but the $28K for a lift kit, wheels/tires, and a bit of unique badging seems excessive. But that's just me; I'm sure someone out there will think it's worth every penny!

Granger Ford had a red GT40 in their showroom when I picked up my Badlands. Nope, they wouldn’t let me drive that either!
